Adult Swim Taps Into The Unconscious Mind With New Stop-Motion Pilot The Shivering Truth
Jonah Hill and Michael Cera Lend Their Voices
Adult Swim is looking to animate your unconscious mind with The Shivering Truth, a new stop-motion pilot created by Vernon Chatman (South Park, Louie, Wonder Showzen) and voiced by guest stars Michael Cera, Jonah Hill and Starlee Kine, along with Chatman.
The Shivering Truth is a delicately crafted, darkly surreal anthology comedy, a miniature propulsive omnibus clusterbomb of painfully riotous daymares all dripping with the orange goo of dream logic. A series of loosely-linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind and became lovingly animated in breath-slapping stop motion -- in other words, it is the TRUTH.
As Adult Swim enters an unprecedented 13th year as the #1 network with young adults, Shivering Truth joins a slate of recently announced projects from Tyler, The Creator, Jena Friedman, Derrick Beckles and Eric Andre, continuing the network's reputation for one-of-a-kind content that uses the latest innovations across multiple platforms.
Created and written by Chatman, directed by Chatman and Cat Solen, the pilot is executive produced by PFFR (Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter, Xavier: Renegade Angel) with Solen. The animation studio is Shadow Machine.
