RACHEL LINDSAY BEGINS HER SEARCH FOR THAT ONE SPECIAL MAN WHEN
'THE BACHELORETTE' PREMIERES MONDAY, MAY 22, ON ABC
Rachel's Suitors Are Revealed
What do a professional wrestler by day and a doting dad by night, a chiropractor with magic hands, a secret admirer who has had a crush since early childhood days, a charmer who wanted to go to Las Vegas and immediately get married and a startup recruiter who had a memorable introduction with an unforgettable opening line have in common? They're all on the hunt for Rachel Lindsay when the 13th edition of ABC's popular romance reality series "The Bachelorette" premieres on MONDAY, MAY 22, at a special time (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.
Editors' note: "The Bachelorette" will return to its regular time slot on Monday, May 29 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT).
A luminous enthusiastic Bachelorette braces herself for the experience of a lifetime and the possibility of finding her Prince Charming. The memorable first meetings begin with Brady, a male model who hauls out a sledgehammer to "break the ice" and get acquainted. Matt, a construction sales rep, attempts to endear himself to Rachel by wearing a penguin costume. Blake E., one of the men who received an early introduction on the "After the Final Rose" show, doesn't want to waste his second chance. The aspiring drummer, not to be outdone, brings along a marching band to stir things up.
Inside the mansion, the men continue to try and captivate Rachel. Josiah, a fellow attorney, pulls her away for the first one-one-one conversation. He discusses his troubled past and how it changed the course of his life. Fred, who went to elementary school with Rachel, brings a yearbook and admits to a lifelong fascination with his former classmate. Adam arrives with a surprise friend - an identical dummy named "A.J." - much to Rachel's delight. Bryan comes on strong, captivating the Bachelorette and literally sweeping her off her feet. But as passion flourishes, so do the confrontations between the bachelors: Blake E. challenges Lucas about whether he is there for the "right reasons."
Kenny, a single dad, moves Rachel with her devotion to his daughter. Many relationships look promising as Rachel continues to familiarize herself with the men, but there is only one first impression rose. The Bachelorette follows her best instincts in choosing who should get her first rose.
The apprehensive men have to hope they are among the 23 left to move into the mansion and continue in the race for Rachel's heart.
