AT THE 2017 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS
Electronic Violinist Lindsey Stirling Set to Perform with Julia Michaels
Hugely popular singers Hailee Steinfeld (Republic Records), Kelsea Ballerini (Black River Entertainment) and Sofia Carson (Hollywood Records/Republic Records) -- three recording artists whose musical careers were influenced by Britney Spears -- will perform a medley to celebrate the pop superstar as she's honored with the Icon Award at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA). Grammy nominee Ballerini and "Descendants 2" star Carson (who also host the awards show), and Academy Award-nominated actress and multiplatinum-selling artist Steinfeld will perform some of Spears' biggest hits with each song voted into the medley by Radio Disney fans.
Grammy Award-winning Spears is the first-ever recipient of the RDMA Icon Award which recognizes an artist whose career transcends popular culture. Her music began playing on Radio Disney in 1998.
Newly added to the 2017 RDMA performer lineup is electronic violinist and multi-award-winning artist Lindsey Stirling in a first-time collaboration with chart-topping singer/songwriter Julia Michaels (Republic Records). They will perform an exclusive rendition of Michaels' hit single, "Issues," a song that debuted at No. 1 on the Radio Disney Top 30.
The exciting performances take place during music's biggest event for families, now in its fifth year, SATURDAY, APRIL 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosting the show are Kelsea Ballerini, Sofia Carson, Jordan Fisher, Alex Aiono and Jenna Ortega.
