RADIO DISNEY ADDS HAILEE STEINFELD, NOAH CYRUS, JULIA MICHAELS AND GRACE VANDERWAAL TO ITS LINEUP OF PERFORMERS FOR
THE 2017 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS
Multiplatinum recording artist and Academy Award-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld, platinum recording artist Noah Cyrus, chart-topping singer and songwriter Julia Michaels and 2016 "America's Got Talent" winner Grace VanderWaal are scheduled to perform at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, on SATURDAY, APRIL 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The four rising female artists who have dominated the pop charts join previously announced Kelsea Ballerini, Alessia Cara, Jordan Fisher and Train for the fifth anniversary show.
Republic records recording artist Hailee Steinfeld performed a medley of her hits "Love Myself," "Rock Bottom" and "How I Want Ya" at the 2016 RDMA, and has continued to release music that has dominated the pop charts. Her latest single "Starving" spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Radio Disney Top 30. At the 2017 RDMA, Steinfeld is nominated for two ARDYs, including "The Buzz - Best Breakout Artist" and "XOXO - Best Crush Song." In addition to her music career, Steinfeld recently received critical acclaim for her starring role in "The Edge of Seventeen" which earned her two Critics' Choice Award nominations, as well as a Golden Globe nomination. Next up, she will star in the highly anticipated film "Pitch Perfect 3.?"?
Noah Cyrus' breakout performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards signaled her arrival to the music scene. Taking the stage for her first RDMA performance, she is also nominated for two ARDYs, including "The Freshest - Best New Artist." Her debut single, "Make Me (Cry)" has spent 12 consecutive weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30 countdown and has received more than 200 million global audio and video streams combined.
The 2017 RDMA will mark Julia Michaels' first award show performance. A seasoned songwriter, Michaels has written multiple songs that were performed on the 2016 RDMA stage including co-writing "Make Me Like You" performed by Gwen Stefani and "Love Myself" performed in a medley by Steinfeld. Michaels has also written for other Radio Disney favorite artists, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Britney Spears and more. A 2017 RDMA nominee for the "The Freshest - Best New Artist," Michaels' single "Issues" debuted at No. 1 on the Radio Disney Top 30 and has since spent eight weeks on the chart.
Thirteen-year-old singer and songwriter Grace VanderWaal became a viral sensation after she performed her original song, "I Don't Know My Name," on "America's Got Talent." She was eventually crowned the winner of the show which landed her a record deal with Columbia Records. She recently released her first EP "Perfectly Imperfect." The 2017 RDMA will mark her first award show performance. VanderWaal is also a 2017 RDMA nominee for "The Freshest - Best New Artist."

Winners will be announced on SATURDAY, APRIL 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with performances by some of the biggest artists along with tomorrow's rising stars in music. A special two-hour telecast, "Disney Channel Presents the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards," will be presented SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), in the U.S. across multiple Disney-branded platforms.
