A.P. BIOLOGY (NBC) - Newcomer Jacob McCarthy has scored a role on the comedy pilot as Devin, "an intense and angry kid who sits in the back of the class reading 'Anarchy in Action'. He's the only kid who is really on board with the chaos created by Jack because he never wanted to take biology in the first place." (Deadline.com)
BOLD TYPE, THE (Freeform) - Director-producer Gary Fleder and his Mojo Films have signed a two-year first-look deal with cable channel. Fleder is currently helming the drama pilot "Salamander" for sibling network ABC. (Deadline.com)
CONTROVERSY (FOX) - Robbie Jones and Vince Nappo are the latest additions to the drama pilot as Will Meeks, "Matt Kincaid's (Austin Stowell) former roommate, best friend, current assistant coach and offensive coordinator of the University's football team"; and Detective Winston Dunn, "who's investigating the football players accused of assault." CROSSING, THE (ABC) - Tommy Bastow and John D'Leo are both bound for the drama pilot. They'll play Marshall and Will, respectively, two of the town's residents. (Deadline.com)
GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE, THE (Starz) - Narges Rashidi will recur on the upcoming season as Darya Esford, "an extremely intelligent communications specialist at a lobbyist firm in DC who's in a complicated relationship with her ex, Erica (Anna Friel)." (Deadline.com)
GOSPEL OF KEVIN, THE (ABC) - J. August Richards is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot as Deputy Nathan Purcell, "a friend of the family and Deputy of the town." (Deadline.com)
GREAT INDOORS, THE (CBS) - Jane Leeves has been cast as Sheryl, "the seventh wife of Roland (Stephen Fry)," in an upcoming episode. (TVLine.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Lori Petty will drop by the veteran drama as Jenny Kitson, "a dedicated nurse who has been caring for a comatose John Doe for the past six years. When his identity is revealed to be a potential witness from Danny's (Scott Caan) last case before he joined Five-0, Jenny helps Danny keep him safe from those looking to silence him forever." INSATIABLE (The CW) - Christopher Gorham has boarded the drama pilot as Barnum, "the pageant dad and D.A. courtroom nemesis to Bob (Dallas Roberts)." (Deadline.com)
LOOMING TOWER, THE (Hulu) - Sullivan Jones, Virginia Kull and Louis Cancelmi have all booked roles on the upcoming drama. Jones will play Floyd Bennet, "a member of the New York State Police SWAT Team, working closely with FBI agent Kathy Shaughnessy (Kull) on O'Neill's counter-terrorism squad." Cancelmi then is set as Vince Stuart, who is John O'Neill's (Jeff Daniels) eyes and ears embedded into CIA's Alec Station." (Deadline.com)
ONE MILLION STEPS (Hulu, New!) - Bing West's book, subtitled "A Marine Platoon at War," is being developed as a drama by the streaming service. Writer Robert Munic and director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) are spearheading the project, which follows "the story of one distinguished platoon in the United States Marine Corps., infantry Battalion 3/5, which lost 50 percent of the platoon in the war in Afghanistan over a relentless seven-month odyssey." Braden Aftergood will also executive produce for A+E Studios. (THR.com)
RAY DONOVAN (Showtime) - Keir O'Donnell is the latest to recur on the series as George, "the eccentric, damaged stepson of Samantha Winslow (Susan Sarandon), the strong, focused head of a motion picture studio." (Deadline.com)
RELATIVELY HAPPY (A.K.A. THE HAPPY PEPPERS) (NBC) - Jane Lynch has signed onto the comedy pilot, about an adult brother (Jon Rudnitsky) and sister (Genevieve Angelson) who wind up living together for the first time since they were kids, after one of them suffers a big loss. She'll play Bobbi Martin (originally conceived as a man, Bobby Martin), "a fast-living, Scotch-drinking, three-piece-suit-wearing, womanizing divorce attorney who is Henry's (Jon Rudnitsky) boss, mentor and 'father' figure." SPACED OUT (NBC) - Donald Faison and Ken Kirby has both been tapped for roles on the comedy pilot. Faison will play Dicky Quinlan, "the blue-collar manufacturing guy who builds what 'the nerds think up'"; with Kirby as Jet Fu: "A rock star in electrical engineering, the supremely confident Jet Fu is a great addition to the team, until he makes the mistake of questioning the Space One dress code." START UP (ABC) - Newcomer Hillary Anne Matthews has been cast in the comedy pilot as Deirdre, "the woman who also quits her job to follow [Zach] Braff's character on his new endeavor." (Deadline.com)
UNIT ZERO (ABC) - Parvesh Cheena and Ayden Mayeri are the latest additions to the drama pilot. He'll play Raj, "a competitive and obnoxious co-worker who is gunning for Jackie's (Toni Collette) job"; while she's set as Azeema Khabiri, "a super-smart CIA intern with fighting skills who's always one step ahead of everyone else." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SEAL TEAM 6 PROJECT (CBS) - Jim Caviezel ("Person of Interest") is back in business with the Eye, signing onto the drama pilot as Jason, "the respected, committed leader of his assault team who's been through more than a dozen deployments." (Deadline.com)
VALOR (The CW) - Christina Ochoa, Nigel Thatch and Corbin Reid have all been tapped for roles on the drama pilot. She'll play Nora Madani, "an intense and driven junior Army pilot who is a member of the Night Raiders special ops unit." Thatch then is on board as Robert Torres, "the commander of the Night Raiders. A tough-minded man with gravitas, who is loyal to his troops, Torres expects his unit always to do the right thing, no matter how tangled the tactical situation might become." Reid will portray Jess, "a mother and wife who lives on the Army base." (Deadline.com)
WISDOM OF THE CROWD (CBS) - Natalia Tena and Jake Matthews have both joined the Jeremy Piven-led drama pilot as Sara Morton, "who runs the show at CrowdSolver, where she works with Tanner to launch and operate the new app"; and Tariq Siddiqui, "a tech genius who can hack anything and enjoys blurring the lines of morality."
