VELOCITY'S COLLECTOR CAR ARCHEOLOGIST WAYNE CARINI RETURNS FOR AN ALL NEW SEASON OF "CHASING CLASSIC CARS"

--Season Nine of Velocity's Signature Series Debuts Wednesday, March 15 at 9 PM ET/PT--

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Collector car archeologist Wayne Carini has never given up on the chase. Through eight seasons of investigating countless leads and searching old barns, garages and warehouses, Carini's passion for uncovering untold automotive stories has enthralled millions and made him a legend of the automotive world. Beginning Wednesday, March 15 at 9 PM ET/PT during the season nine premiere of CHASING CLASSIC CARS he proves there are still plenty of timeless cars with fascinating stories to tell.

CHASING CLASSIC CARS jump starts the new season with a special one-hour premiere as Wayne and his good friend Ralph go on an exceptional chase for a one-of-one, all-original 1930 Minerva bodied by Hibbard & Darrin just north of Saranac Lake, NY in the Adirondack Mountains. As extraordinary as the car is, what may be more extraordinary is the life of the man who owned it. An eccentric recluse, John Whitney Hawkinson (known locally as "Hawkeye") walked away from a life of privilege and into the Adirondacks where he lived for decades in an uninsulated farmhouse and quietly amassed a collection of more than 40 classic cars.

The following week on Wednesday, March 22 at 9 PM ET/PT Wayne turns the collector car world on its ear when he makes the surprise announcement that he's selling the best barn find of his career, his 100% original 1921 Stutz Bearcat with just over 11,000 miles from new. The Stutz Bearcat made international headlines in 2016 when Wayne put the car on Bonhams auction block during Monterey Car Week.

The new season of CHASING CLASSIC CARS continues every Wednesday at 9 PM ET/PT as Wayne tirelessly pursue the world's rarest, most exotic vehicles from different eras including: a 2003 BMW Z8 Alpina Roadster; a cute-as-a-button 1958 BMW Isetta 300; a vintage 1962 Vespa scooter restored for fashion designer Ralph Lauren; a 1994 Porsche 964 3.6 Turbo S Flachbau; a 1958 SAAB GT 750; a 1964 Saab Gran Turismo 850; a 1965 Saab Monte Carlo 850; 1901 Panhard; a 2014 La Ferrari; 1966 Ford GT40; and so many more.

CHASING CLASSIC CARS is produced for Velocity by Crashing Wave Entertainment. Jim Astrausky is series creator and Hannah B. Lintner is series producer. For Velocity, Joshua C. Berkley is executive producer and Robert Scanlon is executive vice president and general manager of Velocity and automotive content.
