ANGIE TRIBECA (TBS) - Constance Zimmer will guest star on the new season as "a hard-nosed NYPD detective with a neurotic side." (Variety.com)
CHI, THE (Showtime) - Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Queen of Katwe) has been cast in the upcoming drama as Ronnie, "a former military man somewhat surrendered to the challenges of life on the South Side." He'll succeed Jason Weaver from the original pilot. (Deadline.com)
FOR GOD & COUNTRY (NBC) - Newcomer Natacha Karam has been cast in the drama pilot as Jasmine "Jaz" Ervin, "the second member of ISA Special Operations Group Unit 7, one of the few women in the world to make it through the U.S. Army Ranger School, Delta Force Selection and now to serve on one of these teams." GHOSTED (FOX) - Jonathan Krisel ("Portlandia") has signed on to direct and executive produce the comedy pilot, about a cynical skeptic (Craig Robinson) and a genius "true believer" in the paranormal (Adam Scott) who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles - all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. GOOD BEHAVIOR (TNT) - Joey Kern's Rob has been promoted to series regular for the show's upcoming second season. (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Retta ("Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce") is the latest addition to the drama pilot as Ruby, "a waitress who worries about her 11-year-old daughter, Sara, who has kidney disease and isn't getting the treatment she needs at the local clinic." (Deadline.com)
LATE BLOOMERS (Amazon, New!) - Donal Lardner Ward ("How to Make It in America") has sold a potential comedy to the streaming service about "a fortysomething couple that's randomly selected for a human trial of an experimental drug therapy that halts aging." ITV Studios is behind the half-hour with Ben Stiller and Nicky Weinstock of Red Hour Films and Deborah Spera and Maria Grasso of One-Two Punch Productions likewise executive producing alongside Ward and Victor Levin. REVERIE (NBC) - Jessica Lu and Sendhil Ramamurthy are both bound for the Sarah Shahi-led drama as Alexis Barrett, "who has started her own company, Reverie, based on her own fully immersible, customizable virtual reality program, with which clients can have the VR experience of their lives via a simple neural transmitter"; and Paul Hammond, "who works with Alexis on the Reverie project as the Chief Oneirologist, or dream specialist; he designs the factory presets and training levels for the users of the VR program." Additionally, Jaume Collet-Serra has been confirmed as directing. (Deadline.com)
SAM & TWITCH (BBC America, New!) - Kevin Smith is attached to write, direct and executive produce a potential series at the cable channel based on the comic book series of the same name. The project will follow Sam Burke and Maximilian "Twitch" Williams, NYPD homicide detectives "who face a series of super grizzly crimes that are connected to the occult." SEARCHERS (The CW) - Dean White ("The 100") will likewise direct and executive produce the drama pilot, about a pragmatic brother and free spirited sister who are forced to team up when they learn that their late mother's terrifying and bizarre stories may be a road map to discovering the great legends, myths, and unexplainable mysteries of the world. UNTITLED GRANDY & KALING PROJECT (NBC) - Mouzam Makkar has been tapped for a role on the comedy pilot as Britney, "Vince's on-again, off-again girlfriend since they were 13. Britney is a smart hustler with an emotional streak that makes her do dramatic things." (Deadline.com)
