NEW YORK, NY (October 26, 2016) - Lifetime is teaming up with ABC's Emmy(R) Award-winning talk show, The View, for a live 2 1/2 hour primetime edition of the iconic talk show, airing on Election Night, November 8 at 9pm ET/6pm PT.The View Live Election Special will feature The View's co-hosts from their set with a live studio audience, election-themed Hot Topics, interactive election activities and up-to-the-minute results from key battleground states. Live reports from the ground in Times Square, where thousands from around the world are expected to gather and celebrate the historic evening. As the most important election in recent history comes to a close, our hosts from The View will usher in the next President of the United States live on air.

Leading up to November 8 and throughout election night, Lifetime is encouraging voters to be heard through election-themed on-air interstitials made in partnership with theSkimm, the media company behind the popular email newsletter.UnREAL star Shiri Appleby conceived, directed and executive produced the interstitials for Lifetime, which feature theSkimm Co-CEOs Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin as they provide bite-sized information on some of the most important topics voters will face at the polls including immigration, education and the economy.
The View Live Election Special will be produced by Lincoln Square Productions and executive produced by The View's Candi Carter with Brian Teta as co-executive producer, Danielle Rossen for Lincoln Square Productions and Mary Donahue for Lifetime. Hilary Estey McLoughlin serves as executive in charge for Lincoln Square Productions.
