BAD SUGAR (FOX, New!) - Patricia Breen ("Suburgatory") has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "the sexy and scheming heirs of a wealthy mining mogul as they battle each other to become the next head of his fracking empire." The project, which has a significant penalty attached, is based on a British format with Merman Films' Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford as well as Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor also serving as executive producers for 20th Century Fox Television and Tiger Aspect Productions. Sam Bain, Jesse Armstrong, Olivia Colman and Julia Davis will likewise receive producing credits. (Deadline.com)
BONUS FAMILY (NBC, New!) - David Walpert ("House of Lies") is developing a domestic take of the upcoming Swedish comedy "Bonusfamiljen," which "tells the story of Lisa and Patrick who experience the excitement and learning curve of a new relationship, as their exes, Martin and Katya, struggle to open themselves up to love again, all while facing the ever-present challenges of co-parenting their blended family." ABC Studios-based Mandeville Television is behind the half-hour with the company's David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
G.L.O.W. (Netflix) - Ellen Wong ("The Carrie Diaries") is set to recur on the series as Jenny, "a pop culturally obsessed transplant from Cambodia." (Deadline.com)
GOOD PLACE, THE (NBC) - Adam Scott has scored a top secret role on the newcomer with a first appearance slated for the October 27 episode. (EW.com)
HOUSE OF CARDS (Netflix) - Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott are both bound for the show's fifth season. Said roles however are still being kept under wraps. (THR.com)
LET'S STAY TOGETHER (ABC, New!) - Amy B. Harris ("The Carrie Diaries") has booked a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet which "will explore three very different but connected couples' hilarious journeys as they choose to make a go of their marriages for all the right and wrong reasons - because in the end, divorce is so old fashion." Said effort is inspired by Richard Kirshenbaum's column "The New Divorce Is No Divorce" in the New York Observer. Suretone Entertainment's Jordan Schur and Propagate Content's Ben Silverman will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
MANIAC (Netflix) - Patrick Somerville ("The Leftovers") has been tapped to spearhead the Emma Stone/Jonah Hill-led comedy series, which "revolves around the fantasy worlds of Hill and Stone's characters, who in his real life are confined to a mental institution." Cary Fukunaga is also on board to helm the 10-episode series. (Deadline.com)
MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTMARE, A (Lifetime) - Daisy Head, Ellie Gall, Casey Deidrick, Jake Robinson, Eric Balfour, Chelsea Gilligan and Paul Walter Hauser have all been cast in the drama pilot. Head will play Elena Holland, "a young woman reluctantly drawn into a summer getaway-turned-nightmare"; with Gall as Hannah Becker, "a popular social butterfly who has just run away from her rich fiancé, Daniel, to be with Liam (Deidrick), the working class man she truly loves." Robinson then is set as Daniel Brooks, "a wealthy yet stubborn attorney who is furious and heartbroken when he learns his fiancé Hannah has run off with his best friend Liam to the Dreamland Retreat. Along with his brother Royce and his friend Elena, Daniel follows Hannah and Liam to try to win her back." Also on board are Balfour as Mark, "a surfer staying at the Dreamland Retreat with his wife, Joselin, who begins to get more suspicious than concerned when strange things start happening to people"; Gilligan as Josselin, "a down-to-earth and good-natured photographer with her own agenda staying at the Dreamland Retreat with her husband, Mark"; and Hauser as Nick Bottoms, "the handyman at the Dreamland Retreat compound who has an odd philosophical outlook on life." MINDY PROJECT, THE (Hulu) - Casey Wilson will drop by the series as "one of Mindy's old friends from her past comes back." (EW.com)
MOM (CBS) - Chris Pratt will visit his real-life wife Anna Faris in an upcoming episode as Nick, "a charming (natch!) horseback riding instructor who Christy (Faris) decides to pursue - despite the fact he's the nephew of Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy), who declared him off-limits." (EW.com)
NARCOS (Netflix) - Arturo Castro and Kerry Bishé are the latest additions to the show's third season. He'll play the series regular role of David Rodriguez, "Miguel's oldest son, although he is reluctant at first to take a leading role in the cartel structure, as his Uncle and Father are arrested, he must take over." Bishé then will recur as Christina, "an American woman who met her Colombian husband in college." (Deadline.com)
NCIS (CBS) - Mary Stuart Masterson will recur on the veteran drama as Jenna Flemming, "a witty, savvy and seasoned congresswoman who doesn't mince words and gets things done her way." (TVLine.com)
NYPD RED (ABC, New!) - Michael Horowitz ("Burn Notice") is developing a new drama based on James Patterson and Marshall Karp's book series about "the eponymous special division of NYPD tasked with investigating Manhattan's highest profile crimes. The unit's top detective, Kylie McDonald, puts professionalism above all else. She will find her greatest challenge in navigating the tempestuous relationship with her new partner, Zach Jordan, street-smart and rough around the edges. Together, they will fight to bring justice to New York City's most famous addresses." Bob Sertner and James Patterson Entertainment's Patterson, Bill Robinson and Leopoldo Gout will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)

SNEAKERS (NBC, New!) - Tom Szentgyorgyi ("The Mentalist") is spearheading a small screen take on the 1992 Robert Redford-led film, about "computer hacker Martin, played by Redford, who heads a group of specialists who test the security of various San Francisco companies. Martin is approached by two National Security Agency officers who ask him to steal a newly invented decoder. Soon Martin and his team discover that the black box can crack any encryption code, posing a huge threat if it lands in the wrong hands." Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald also serve as executive producers for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)

STINGRAY (CBS, New!) - David Marshall Grant ("Code Black") is spearheading a new drama at the Eye about "a group of ex-con artists who work for the FBI, using their amazing transformational skills and elaborate deceptions to take down the most elusive criminals." The CBS Television Studios-based project is based on an upcoming thriller by James Patterson and Duane Swierczynski.
