'WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE' PREMIERES NEW SEASON FROM LAS VEGAS ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2016

Iconic Game Show Originates at Bally's Las Vegas with Host Chris Harrison

"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" returns for an all-new season with host Chris Harrison from the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada, when it premieres its 15th season in national syndication on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2016. Las Vegas has become one of the premier entertainment capitals of the world, and beginning this fall, "Millionaire" will originate from its new production home at Bally's Las Vegas. "Millionaire" continues to be the only program to offer a $1 million prize to each and every contestant as America's richest game show.

"Millionaire" features contestants from all over the country and from all walks of life, and remains a game in which anyone can walk in and win big. In the show's classic format, contestants must answer 14 trivia questions correctly with the aid of three lifelines - Ask the Audience, Plus One and 50/50 - in order to win $1 million. Contestants also can win big as they navigate their way up the ladder, as the tension and difficulty build with each question, along with the prize money. Since the show debuted in syndication in 2002, contestants have won nearly $95 million.

Throughout the 2016-2017 season, "Millionaire" will be bringing back some of its most popular specialty weeks, such as "Bachelor Fan Favorites" (including "Bachelorette" Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, "Bachelors" Chris Soules and Ben Flajnik, "Bachelor in Paradise" couple Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert) and "Whiz Kids" (some of the smartest eight to 15-year-old kids in the country). Also joining the line-up are exciting new specialty weeks such as "Celebrity Week: Las Vegas" (including Wayne Newton, Penn & Teller and Giada De Laurentiis), "Victory for Veterans" (in appreciation of the incredible service members from our armed forces) and "Hometown Heroes" (honoring men and women known in their communities for devoting their time to the greater good).
