CHAD: AN AMERICAN BOY (FOX) - The network has passed on the Nasim Pedrad-led comedy, about a 14 year old boy (played by Pedrad) in the throes of adolescence is tasked with being the man of the house, which leaves him with all the responsibilities of being an adult without any of the perks. A woman of her time, Midge is a dutiful daughter and a cheerleader of a wife to a man who, though he has a good job in his father's company, sadly harbors delusional dreams of a stand-up comedy career. One day, Midge's perfect life blows up when her husband leaves her for another woman. Completely unprepared, Midge suddenly finds herself at sea with only her wit to help her build a brand new life for herself. She goes on to become one of the first female standup comics." (Deadline.com)
MASTERS OF SEX (Showtime) - Corey Reynolds ("Getting On") will guest on the show's fourth season as "the husband of new recurring character Louise, played by - wait for it - his former 'Getting On' co-star Niecy Nash." (TVLine.com)
MINDY PROJECT, THE (Hulu) - Bryan Greenberg and Rebecca Rittenhouse will both visit the new season in recurring roles as Ben, "the new pediatric nurse forced to deal with Mindy and her child's ever changing illnesses"; and Anna, "a young, put-together but slightly evil doctor in the office who becomes a new foil for Mindy." (Deadline.com)
OKIES OF BEL AIR (FOX, New!) - Sean O'Connor ("The Late Late Show") has scored a pilot presentation order from the network for an animated comedy about "a family of humble Oklahoma catfish farmers who, after their basketball prodigy son is chosen first overall in the NBA draft, pack up and move to the tony enclave of Bel Air, where they'll struggle to preserve their down-home sensibilities amidst a vast cultural wasteland where Kardashian reigns supreme and pressed juice is considered a viable alternative to childhood vaccinations."
