ALTERED CARBON (Netflix) - Renee Elise Goldsberry ("The Good Wife") has scored a role on the series, based on Richard Morgan's 2002 novel of the same name. She'll play Quellcrist Falconer, "a revolutionary and leader of the rebellion against the Protectorate. She is a master strategist, as well as the love of Kovac's life." (THR.com)
BEHIND ENEMY LINES (FOX) - The network is taking another stab at its small screen take on the Owen Wilson/Gene Hackman-led 2001 feature, which "takes place in the midst of critical peace negotiations between the U.S. and Russia as three American soldiers are shot down behind enemy lines in Eastern Ukraine." Nikki Toscano will take over scripting duties from Jeffrey Nachmanoff. 20th Century Fox Television remains behind the hour with Davis Entertainment's John Davis and John Fox as well as Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey executive producing. EMPIRE (FOX) - Sierra McClain has scored an arc on the series as Nessa, "Shine's (new series regular Xzibit) loyal protege who, upon first glance, is merely a timid follower to Lucious' former partner in crime. A second listen, however, reveals she is a rare talent with a killer voice whom Lucious (Terrence Howard) is determined to sign to Empire's roster." (THR.com)
ROSEWOOD (FOX) - Eddie Cibrian has signed on to the new season as Aaron Slade, "East Miami Police's enigmatic newest member who will both challenge and complicate an already messy situation between Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) and Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz)." He'll take over for Brian Austin Green, who was previously cast in said role. (TVLine.com)
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Sharon Lawrence is set to recur on the new season as Margo, "a self-made real estate mogul who owns the coffee shop where Fiona works." (THR.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Floriana Lima ("The Family") has joined the cast of the series as Maggie Sawyer, "a detective for the National City Police Department who takes a special interest in the cases involving aliens." The DC Comics character "was introduced in 1987 as a captain of the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit [and became] one of the first openly homosexual characters in mainstream comics." (THR.com)
VANITY FAIR CONFIDENTIAL (ID) - The cable channel has ordered a 12-episode third season of the series, from True Entertainment and Conde Nast Entertainment, due in early 2017. (THR.com)
