SCIENCE CHANNEL ORDERS ALL-NEW EPISODES OF "OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE" FOR SUMMER 2016
Science Channel announced today it has ordered new episodes of OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE, the network's most watched series in 2015, to premiere during summer 2016. The program was the network's most watched series in 2015, with an average of 574,000 Total Viewers P2+. Last month's season debut (Jan. 9) ranked among the series' top 5 performances of all time based on Men 25-54 rating and drove Science Channel to a top 5 cable ranking in the timeslot. The series features the most out-of-this-world clips from the internet that showcase human ingenuity and amazing feats with a team of STEM experts revealing the science behind the stunts.
"Outrageous Acts of Science takes the videos we watch every day and explores the science that makes them exciting, entertaining, relevant and real", said Marc Etkind, General Manager of Science Channel.
From an Olympian cyclist showing just how much power it takes to toast a piece of bread to a speed flier that lands inside a moving cable car, our team of experts, including Astrophysicist Hakeem Oluseyi and Physicist Debbie Berebichez, break it all down and take what you thought you knew about science and turn it inside out.
OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE is produced for Science Channel by October Films. For October Films, the executive producers are Denman Rooke and Gareth Cornick. For Science Channel Wyatt Channell is executive producer.
