BRAVO MEDIA AND UNIVERSAL CABLE PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCE CASTING FOR SCRIPTED PILOTS "TRUE FICTION" AND "MY SO CALLED WIFE"

NEW YORK - November 23, 2015 - Bravo Media and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) announce casting for hour-long scripted dark comedy pilots "True Fiction" (working title) and "My So Called Wife" (working title).

"True Fiction"

Written and executive produced by Brian Dannelly and Michael Urban ("Saved") for Universal Cable Productions with Dannelly set to direct.

· Olivia Grant ("Indian Summers") leads as Clea Turner, a once best-selling novelist turned prestigious East Coast college professor struggling with her much anticipated and embarrassingly belated follow-up book. When she steals her late student's manuscript, she is haunted by whether to take credit for his work and finally get her career back on track or come forward with a rapidly unraveling truth that is juicier and more scandalous than any work of fiction.

· Stephen Friedrich ("Mr. Robot") joins the cast as Parker Mortenson, Clea's talented yet narcissistic student, whose sudden death creates an opportunity for her to claim his manuscript as her own.

· James Ransone ("The Wire") stars as Baltimore Detective Tom Wilson, who is assigned to Parker's murder case, but starts to form a unique bond with Clea.

· Ana Coto ("Ouija") plays Susan, one of Clea's students, who has a history with Parker and is not afraid to show her disgust of him.

· Jamie Ray Newman ("Wicked City") plays Kristina, Clea's older sister who pushes Clea to find something more stable and rewarding in her work and love life.

· Rounding out the guest cast are James Le Gros ("Justified") as Vice Dean Dan Slavin, Chris Butler ("The Good Wife") as Clea's book agent Arthur and Chelsea Zhang ("Me and Earl and the Dying Girl") as Clea's student Unh-hwa.

"My So Called Wife":

Written and executive produced by Adam Brooks ("Definitely, Maybe,") and Paul Adelstein ("Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce") for Universal Cable Productions with Brooks set to direct.

· Inbar Lavi ("Gang Related") stars as Maddie, a master-of-disguise con-artist who gets men and women to fall in love with her, marries them and then disappears with their money and just enough dirty inside information to guarantee they will never go to the police. But things get complicated when she falls in love with her latest mark, and three of her last victims join together to track her down.

· Rob Heaps ("Frankenstein and the Vampyre: A Dark and Stormy Night") stars as Ezra, Maddie's latest victim. Ezra has been stuck in his hometown working for his family business and thought his life would finally turn around when he married "Ava" (Maddie). However once she disappears, he's determined to find her in order to move forward.

· Parker Young ("Suburgatory") plays Richard, a former football star who was also conned into a marriage with Maddie, known to him as "Alice." He is on a quest to track her down.

· Stephen Bishop ("Being Mary Jane") has been cast as Patrick, a widower who just sold his hedge fund company, and meets "Saffron" (Maddie) and is immediately intrigued.

· Rounding out the guest cast are Brian Benben ("Private Practice") as Maddie's cohort Max/Mr. Ellis, Katherine LaNasa ("Satisfaction") as veteran con-artist and Maddie's cohort Sally/Aunt Catherine, Adam Korson ("Hot in Cleveland") as Ezra's brother Josh, Mark Harelik ("Getting On" ) as Ezra's dad Arthur, and Megan Park ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager") as Ezra's friend Gaby.
