1-800 (TBS, New!) - Angela Kinsey ("The Office") has set up a new comedy at the cable channel "loosely based on her experiences working at a call center when she was starting out." She'll write said effort and is being eyed to star. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)


RELATIVE SUCCESS (NBC, New!) - Comedian Max Silvestri has set up at single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "what happens when two overachieving brothers - one a successful book editor, the other a well-known author - are forced to work together to keep their careers on track. They soon find their childish family disagreements are spilling over into their work lives." Silent Machine Entertainment's Krysten Ritter will also executive produce for Universal Television. ROOK, THE (Hulu, New!) - "Twilight" novelist Stephenie Meyer is spearheading a small screen take on Daniel O'Malley's novel "which introduces a strong female protagonist named Myfanwy Thomas with extraordinary powers who is employed by a mysterious British government agency responsible for defending the UK from supernatural threats." Lionsate Television is producing. (Deadline.com)


TRIAL (Amazon; W: David E. Kelley & Jonathan Shapiro; D: David Semel) - Newcomer Britain Dalton is the latest to sign onto the drama project, which centers on Billy McBride (Billy Bob Thornton), a once respectable lawyer who was ousted from the high-profile firm he co-founded. Billy now spends his days getting drunk, with the occasional case tossed his way by his ex-wife (Maria Bello). He'll play Jason, "the 12-year-old son of a man whose death has been ruled a suicide but refuses to believe his father killed himself and convinces Thornton's character to get involved in the case." UNTITLED JUDAH MILLER PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Judah Miller ("American Dad") is developing a multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "two very different brothers who merge their medical practices and have to learn how to get along under one roof." 3 Arts Entertainment's Jonathan Berry and Tom Lassally will also executive produce for Warner Bros. UNTITLED MUMOLO & LOVESTEDT PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Laura Dern ("Enlightened") is back in business with the pay channel for a new drama which "takes on the story of a pioneering American saleswoman largely responsible for the development of the home party system of marketing. It reveals how she impacted people globally, on a subversive level, in profound and even shocking ways." Annie Mumolo and Tim Lovestedt will co-write the script and executive produce with Dern and Jayme Lemons. (Deadline.com)


WHITE JEFF (FOX, New!) - David Bickel ("The Soul Man") has sold a new comedy to the network about "a button-down CPA who becomes the only white person working at a hip-hop clothing company founded by an eccentric rapper." Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. Bickel is likewise looking to develop his book "Creepiosity" as a TV series with Renegade 83. (THR.com)
