POLYGAMY MEETS MURDER: ID'S NEW SERIES "THE WIVES DID IT" PROVES THAT MORE ISN'T ALWAYS MERRIER

--Three-Part Series Premieres November 6 at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery--

(Silver Spring, Md.) - One man. Many wives. From the outside, it's a cozy picture of contented sister-wives raising a house full of kids. But, on the inside, it can become more "sister-knives" - with sizzling bitter rivalries, simmering tensions and surging jealousies. Investigation Discovery's (ID) all-new series THE WIVES DID IT takes viewers inside the homes of polygamist perpetrators, where lies and resentment grow unchecked in these expanded households. THE WIVES DID IT sheds more than a bedroom night light on scandalous tales that took place inside polygamist families: the three-part series premieres Friday, November 6 at 10/9c, only on ID.

"This series is a perfect storm of drama, as love and affection become clouded with raging jealousy and deadly competition," said Henry Schleiff, Group President, Discovery Networks. "THE WIVES DID IT shows that more isn't always merrier, especially when your wives turn against one another, or worse yet, against you."

Each hour-long episode of THE WIVES DID IT features one true crime story interlaced with expert commentary from local authorities and experts, as well as first person accounts from friends and families of the victims.

In the premiere episode "The Polygamist Prophet," Rulon Allred is part of a Mormon fundamentalist sect in Salt Lake City and with seven wives and 48 kids, tensions and jealousies are inevitable. But things take a dark twist on an ordinary day in 1977, when a masked gunman fatally shoots Allred at work. The search is on for the Salt Lake City Police Department, and everyone is a suspect... even Allred's seven wives. Have simmering tensions finally boiled over? Or did Rulon have an even more sinister enemy?

Additional premieres of THE WIVES DID IT include:

· "Guns, Lies & Sister Wives" Premieres Friday, November 13 at 10/9c

Law-breaking polygamist Jesse Cummings marches to the beat of his own unorthodox drum, and that includes being married to two women - Sherry and Juanita - at the same time. Initially, Jesse is as charming as can be to his two wives and three kids. But his true colors soon emerge, and he transforms into a twisted, sex-crazed sociopath, hell-bent on total control and obedience in his kingdom. Jesse forces all three to sleep in one large bed - with Jesse in the middle and a sister-wife on each side. But when Jesse's sister and her daughter witness the abuse he dishes out to his family, they become threats that must be eliminated.

· "Deadly Threesome" Premieres Friday, November 20 at 10/9c

Dustin and his two wives Christina and Vicky are involved in a love triangle that at first is every polygamist's fantasy. But when the bloodied body of a woman is found in Shubie Park, detectives are stumped. A top-secret undercover police investigation is launched to unmask the perpetrator of this violent crime. When it's discovered that the victim was part of Dustin's threesome, it becomes clear that romantic jealously can be very toxic indeed.

THE WIVES DID IT is produced by BriteSpark Films. For BriteSpark Films, Nick Godwin is executive producer. For Investigation Discovery, Lorna Thomas is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, Kevin Bennett is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is Group President.
