TWITTER TO PARTNER WITH CBS NEWS FOR IOWA DEMOCRATIC DEBATE
Twitter and CBS News have entered a partnership to create an enhanced viewer experience for the Network's broadcast of the Democratic presidential debate, it was announced today. The debate will be broadcast live Nov. 14, 2015 (9:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network and across all CBS News platforms.
FACE THE NATION anchor John Dickerson will be the principal moderator for the debate. Through the partnership, Twitter will provide CBS News with real-time data and insights, as well as live reaction and questions from voters across the country, some of which may be incorporated into the debate. CBSN, CBS News' live, anchored streaming network, will also incorporate instant reaction to what's happening during the debate into ongoing coverage of the event.
"CBS News is so pleased to partner with Twitter on our Democratic debate," said CBS News President David Rhodes. "Our people have worked with Twitter's unique curator tools to measure changing responses to what viewers will see on the screen. Twitter integration will inform our coverage and integrate seamlessly with CBSN, our always-on digital network."
CBS News will broadcast the Democratic debate from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in conjunction with CBS affiliate KCCI-TV and the Des Moines Register. It will be carried live on the CBS Television Network, CBSN and on all CBS News platforms. Additional information about the debate will be announced shortly.
