BRAUNSCHLAG (ABC, New!) - Brian Gallivan ("The McCarthys") is the latest to take a stab at importing David Schalko's Austrian series, about the quirky inhabitants of a small struggling town whose mayor is prepared to do anything to save his community. Rob Riggle was previously attached to an incarnation at FOX and 20th Century Fox Television last year penned by Steve Hely. Intrigue's Tariq Jalil remains on board the single-camera project, which has a significant penalty attached. The new Sony Pictures Television-based take will follow "a young small-town mayor named Emma Wolf has dysfunctional siblings, a dying father, disgruntled citizens, a nearly bankrupt town and the mafia breathing down her neck. Only a miracle can help her. So... she fakes one." Seth Gordon ("The Goldbergs") will likewise executive produce and direct schedule permitting. (Deadline.com)

DARK NET (TNT, New!) - Adam Mazer (Empire State) has sold a potential six-episode limited series to the cable channel "based on the true story of the illegal Silk Road website and its 29-year-old creator Ross Ulbricht who was recently sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole." Said effort will "track Ulbricht's rise from former Eagle Scout and master's degree recipient to his shocking ascension to the world's biggest online drug kingpin." Ilene Kahn Power will also serve as an executive producer. (Variety.com)

FANTASY ISLAND (ABC, New!) - Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) has set up a potential revival of the classic 1970s drama series about "a brilliant, dynamic and sexy woman who runs a San Francisco-based company that provides clients with his or her most intimate, dark or outlandish fantasy. Like the original series, each episode is expected to chronicle two fantasies, with an overarching serialized arc involving Roarke and her personal life." Sony Pictures Television-based Vendetta Productions is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached, with Jennifer Klein and Josh Berman also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)

HOUSE OF MOORE (ABC, New!) - Writer/director Daniel Barnz (Beastly) has landed a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a new drama about "the sexy, twisted lives of an iconic fashion family, looking at our beauty-obsessed culture through a darkly comedic lens." Said effort is designed as a starring vehicle for Felicity Huffman in second position to "American Crime." ABC Studios is behind the project with Huffman, Daniel Barnz, We're Not Brothers Productions' Ben Barnz and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan executive producing. (Deadline.com)

SKIN TRADE, THE (Cinemax, New!) - Kalinda Vazquez ("Once Upon a Time") is developing a small screen take on George R.R. Martin's novella about Willie Flambeaux, "a collections agent who happens to be a werewolf, and his friend, Randi Wade, a private investigator, who discover a dark secret behind a series of grisly murders in their decaying industrial city." Martin himself will executive produce the project alongside Vazquez, Vince Gerardis, Paul Sansone, Rich Angell, Mark B. Newbauer and Lizandro Cruz. (Deadline.com)

SYSTEM, THE (Starz, New!) - Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian's book is being developed as a potential drama at the pay channel. Said effort will "follow a fictional college football program coming off NCAA sanctions, as it attempts to once again rise as a national championship contender." Playground Entertainment's Colin Callender and Scott Huff are behind the hour with Adam Mazer attached to pen the script and serve as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)

UNTITLED ANDREW BACHELOR PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Vine personality Andrew "King Bach" Bachelor is set to star in a potential single-camera comedy from Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele at the network about "an undercover cop who grew up on the streets and goes back to his old neighborhood to take down the bad guys who bullied him when they were kids." Alex Rubens ("Key & Peele") is penning the half-hour, which has significant penalty attached, for 20th Century Fox Television with Key and Peele likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)

WILDING, THE (USA/UCP; W: Silka Luisa; D: Ciarán Foy) - Dominic Fumusa, Antonio Jaramillo and Nadia Alexander are the latest to be cast in the two-hour backdoor pilot, about a typical, loving blended family seeking a fresh start after their 17-year-old daughter, Kayla, is released from a mental health institution following ten years of treatment. Alexander will play the aforementioned Kayla Hayes, "a 17-year-old who restarts her life after being released from a mental health facility"; with Fumusa as George, "an enigmatic drifter that tracks down a former psychiatrist to confront past wrongs"; and Jaramillo as Carlos, "Margaret's (Jordana Spiro) husband, a recovered drug addict and popular teacher who connects with his troubled step-daughter Kayla in a way that others can't. Lisa Gay Hamilton also stars. (Deadline.com)

WORKPLACE (CBS, New!) - Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh ("Modern Family") have taken home a put pilot commitment from the Eye for a single-camera comedy "set in a three-story building with three seemingly separate businesses: a one-hit-wonder app developer; a real estate company grudgingly shared by a divorced couple; and a cafe run by two sisters, one of whom hasn't worked a day in her life." Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Huw Collins will recur on "Pretty Little Liars" as "a psychologist who becomes entangled in the town's unfolding drama" (Deadline.com); Erik Allan Kramer has scored an arc on "Mike & Molly" as Officer Seely, "who's very hard-headed and has issues with Mike" (Deadline.com); Chris Vance has been cast as Non, a brutal Kryptonian military officer, on "Supergirl" (@supergirlcbs); Neal McDonough will reprise his "Arrow" role of Damien Darhk in an upcoming episode on "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (ComicBook.com); Matt Lanter is bound for "CSI: Cyber" as "a really intriguing guy who lives his life through the Internet and builds relationships with the people whose lives he hacks into" (TVLine.com); and Kristoffer Polaha is bound for "Castle" as "an idealistic public defender whose criminal clients put him at odds with Beckett and the 12th Precinct" (TVLine.com).
