CRASHING (HBO, New!) - Comedian Pete Holmes has scored a pilot order from the pay channel for a single-camera comedy about "a sweet, wholesome comedian (Holmes) who, after his wife leaves him, has nowhere to stay but on the couches of New York's finest comics." The semi-autobiographical project, slated to film in November, also comes from Judd Apatow, who's attached to direct and executive produce alongside Dave Rath. (Deadline.com)


HOME (TNT/WHT; W: Aron Eli Coleite; D: Brad Anderson) - Andrew Buchan, JoBeth Williams, Harris Dickinson and Sawyer Barth have all been cast in the pilot, a dramatic thriller that delves into the secrets lingering behind the facade of a seemingly idyllic suburban family. "Rose Altman couldn't be happier: An accomplished designer with a successful business, the newly pregnant Rose is thriving in a wonderful life with her husband, Joe (Buchan), a highly regarded prison psychologist, and enjoying being a stepmother to his two sons PK (Dickinson) and Nate (Barth). But her image of her perfect family is shattered when she discovers long-buried secrets that threaten to destroy the very foundation of her life." Williams plays Helen Altman, "a children's author/artist whose book was extremely successful." (Deadline.com)


OUTNUMBERED (ABC, New!) - Cherry Chevapravatdumrong ("Family Guy") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a woman in a male-dominated workplace." The project comes from ABC Studios with Julia Fran and Industry Entertainment's Dianne Fraser and Helena Heyman also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


POOR RICHARD'S ALMANACK (USA/Legendary/UCP; W: Jim Danger Gray & Miguel Sapochnik; D: Neil Marshall) - Jordan Hayes ("Helix") is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, which revolves around a cadre of heroes who emerge as the new "Founding Fathers," after America is pushed to the brink of collapse. She'll play Madison Fischer, "a paranoid schizophrenic who sees patterns where others don't. When she stumbles upon a plan for a series of terrorist attacks, she has to convince her CIA agent brother to look past her affliction and trust her." In addition, Neil Marshall has signed on to direct and executive produce with AppleBox Entertainment's Marc Helwig also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
