DESTINATION AMERICA IGNITES FEAR ON THE FROZEN FRONTIER WITH "ALASKA MONSTERS" SEASON 2 AND THE WORLD PREMIERE OF "ALASKA HAUNTING"
(Silver Spring, Md.) - On Alaska's isolated tundra, a disembodied howl could be the wind, a wild animal or - if you're lucky - only your imagination. This September, Destination America embarks on a frozen journey to investigate Alaska's supernatural mysteries in the return of ALASKA MONSTERS and the world premiere of ALASKA HAUNTING. Chilling reports of supernatural activity and monster sightings have left generations of locals desperate for answers and shaking from more than just the frigid temperatures. Between the elusive Sasquatch and mysterious spirits, these series shine a light on the dark side of life on the last frontier, where miles of forest separate neighbors and no one can hear you scream. ALASKA MONSTERS season two premieres Saturday, September 19 at 10/9c, followed by the world premiere of ALASKA HAUNTING on Sunday, September 20 at 10/9c.
"Alaska residents routinely deal with threats like bears and blizzards, but there's something far more terrifying that's leaving tough Alaskans frozen in fear," said Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America. "In ALASKA MONSTERS and ALASKA HAUNTING, Destination America is in the heart of the ice and isolation, exposing American myths and monsters that stalk our last frontier."
ALASKA MONSTERS, returning for its second season on Saturday, September 19 at 10/9c, follows a team of investigators called the Midnight Sons deep into the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness as they search for mysterious monsters. The eight-episode second season is a dedicated BIGFOOT EDITION, in which these expert trappers focus their efforts on capturing the king of covert creatures, Bigfoot. The native outdoorsmen employ thermal technology and modern tracking techniques in their quest to find evidence that Bigfoot calls Alaska home.
Following the season premiere of ALASKA MONSTERS is the world premiere of ALASKA HAUNTING on Sunday, September 20 at 10/9c, in which unnerving ghostly encounters deep in the Alaskan bush leave residents with nowhere to run and no neighbors to turn to for help. Spirits lurk in the shadows of Alaska's isolated cabins, tormenting families and leaving them no choice but to turn to paranormal investigators as their last hope.
