SAN DIEGO ARTIST LANA CHROMIUM NAMED SEASON 2 WINNER OF GSN'S HIT SERIES "SKIN WARS"
Wins $100,000 in Television's First Body Painting Competition;
Named Winner By Judges RuPaul Charles and Body Painting Icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina
August 19, 2015, SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Artist Lana Chromium of San Diego was named the season two winner of SKIN WARS, the hit TV series from GSN and television's first body painting competition. Chromium, who outperformed 11 other talented body painters from around the US, was named the winner at the conclusion of Wednesday night's finale, which aired on GSN at 9:00pm ET/PT.
The hit TV series, hosted by Rebecca Romijn (X-Men), is the most-watched series in GSN history and has been seen by nearly 12 million total unique viewers for Season 2 to date. It has more than doubled (+125%) the year-to-date time period average with total viewers.
In the season two finale, Chromium was named the winner by a panel of judges, including legendary entertainer RuPaul Charles and body painting icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina. As the winner of SKIN WARS, she will receive a $100,000 cash prize, an all-expense paid trip for two to the World Body Painting Festival in Austria, and a nationally-distributed Royal and Langnickel custom brush collection with her name on it.
Born in Russia, Lana's passion for art exploded after moving to California. She holds a degree in graphic design and can paint in a variety of mediums. Lana often travels to music festivals and Burning Man, but also draws inspiration from her 5-year old daughter.
