As Crown Media Family Networks wraps up Upfront negotiations, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' original programming continues to drive linear and digital business and break through new categories. Crown Media and Ford Motor Company announced today a deal designating Hallmark Channel as a central 2015 broadcast partner for the automotive company's long-standing breast cancer awareness program, Warriors in Pink(R). The multi-faceted on- and off-air buy centers primarily around Season 3 of the network's original scripted series, Cedar Cove.

Warriors in Pink will be incorporated into a key storyline in the 2-hour Season 3 finale of Hallmark Channel's original scripted series, Cedar Cove. In the episode, which debuts Saturday, September 12th, the town of Cedar Cove turns its annual bike ride into a Warriors in Pink event replete with a branded tent and signage, as well as the cast and extras suited up in Warriors in Pink apparel. The episode will also feature two separate integrations of Ford vehicles, one of which will be branded with the program's bold symbols. In addition, Cedar Cove talent including Teryl Rothery, Barbara Niven, Sarah Smyth, and Dylan Neal will be featured in customized 30-second spots wearing items from the Warriors in Pink line of apparel and accessories, while encouraging viewers to visit fordcares.com where they can purchase items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from warrior wear and gear sales will benefit 1 of 4 charities that the purchaser chooses at check-out. The spots will air in every episode of Cedar Cove throughout its season 3 run, in addition to being prominently featured across Hallmark Channel's digital and social platforms. Finally, in an effort to further engage viewers, Warriors in Pink will sponsor The Cedar Cove Soar & Sail Sweepstakes giving two lucky grand prize winners a chance to win a new Ford Edge or a 7 day/6night trip for two to experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest (the setting for Cedar Cove).
Other elements of the partnership include 3 branded segments on the network's Emmy-nominated daytime lifestyle program, Home & Family, as well as extensive digital and social media efforts.
