GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, THE (Amazon/TriStar; W: Dana Calvo; D: TBA) - Joy Bryant and Chris Diamantopoulos have both booked roles on the drama pilot, set in 1969 at the beginning of the women's rights movement when a group of young women at the hottest magazine in the world ask to be treated fairly, setting off a convulsive chain of events. She'll play "civil rights activist Eleanor Holmes Norton" with Diamantopoulos is Oz, an unspecified character. Anna Camp and Genevieve Angelson also star. Don Kurt is also set as a co-executive producer on the project, which is set to shoot in New York City next month. (Deadline.com)
HIGHSTON (Amazon; W: Bob Nelson; D: Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris) - Curtis Armstrong ("King of the Nerds") is the latest to be cast in the comedy pilot, about Highston Liggets, a kind 19-year-old perched on the edge of adulthood who retreats into his vast imagination, where famous friends are his companions and mentors. He'll play Uncle Billy in the project alongside the previously cast Mary Lynn Rajskub. (Deadline.com)
PARADISE PICTURES (USA/UCP; W: Rick Muirragui; D: John Dahl) - Denyse Tontz and Duane Henry are the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, about ambitious people striving to get to the top in 1940s Hollywood, when the dream factory was at its peak. Little do they know the challenges they're about to face: the end of studio monopolies, the blacklist and the new disruptive technology of television. Tontz will play Luciana Delgado, "a young aspiring actress who arrives in Hollywood from the small town of Marfa, Texas"; while Henry is set as Aldo Boyd, "an actor and jazz player who performs in the nightclub at the Dunbar Hotel, a hotspot for African-American culture in mid-'40s Los Angeles." Morgan Spector also stars. (Deadline.com)
SNOWFALL (FX/FXP; W: Eric Amadio & John Singleton; D: John Singleton) - DeRay Davis ("MTV2's Joking Off") has scored a role on the pilot, a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata, a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller (Billy Magnussen), a prominent family's "black sheep" desperate to escape his father's shadow. He'll play Jerome Saint, "a tough criminal who helps his nephew Franklin get his start in the cocaine trade." (Deadline.com)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will drop by the season premiere of "The Mindy Project" as "a suave reality show producer for Bravo" (BuzzFeed.com); Andre Royo will visit "Empire" as "a sharp lawyer with a charming disposition who impresses the currently-incarcerated Lucious with his unethical moves and equally shady past" (TVLine.com); and William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Paul Guilfoyle, Jorja Fox, Jon Wellner, Wallace Langham, Ted Danson, David Berman, Robert David Hall, Eric Szmanda, Elisabeth Harnois and Melinda Clarke have all signed on to appear in the two-hour "CSI" finale however George Eads has opted not to return (TVLine.com).
