ABC FAMILY'S GROUNDBREAKING NEW DOCU-SERIES "BECOMING US" TO AIR KEY EPISODES ON SISTER CABLE NETWORKS FUSION AND LIFETIME
Burbank, CA ( June 24, 2015) - In an effort to increase sampling of ABC Family's groundbreaking new docuseries, "Becoming Us," sister cable networks Fusion and Lifetime will air key episodes. Fusion will air multiple catch-up stacks of episodes one, two and three on Friday, June 26th beginning at 8:00 p.m. (encoring at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT) and Saturday, June 27th beginning at 8:00 p.m. (encoring at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT), and Lifetime will air episode four on Tuesday, June 30th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, prior to episode four airing on ABC Family. "Becoming Us" airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
The critically acclaimed docuseries, "Becoming Us" centers on a teenager named Ben who learns his parents are not only getting a divorce, but also that his dad is becoming a woman. The series follows Ben, his family and his friends as they support one another through this unexpected journey and watch Charlie slowly become Carly, as she experiences the many stages of her transition from male to female. The show is a generational story of a loving family and circle of friends, supporting one another through this unfamiliar and unexpected situation.

Episodes One-Three Airing on Fusion (Friday, June 26th beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and Saturday, June 27th beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT)
In episode one you meet Ben, an ordinary Midwestern teenager, going through a unique situation. After his parents' recent divorce, Ben learned that his dad is transitioning into a woman, Carly. In the series' opener, "#WelcomeToMyWorld," Ben is struggling in school, and his parents, Suzy and Carly, are not happy about it. Ben's girlfriend, Danielle, would like to introduce Carly to her father, who is also transgender, leading to an awkward shopping trip for the four of them. And Ben's sister, Sutton, returns home to Evanston to plan her upcoming wedding.
In episode two, "#FallOutBoy," Ben is trying to figure out his feelings and distances himself from those who care about him, leaving them frustrated. Hoping to help him understand what's going on, Danielle's family invites Ben to dinner. Carly turns to Suzy for help in getting Ben to respond. Hoping to get Ayton and Lathan to bond, Brook sets up an outing for everyone, including Ben and Danielle. Meanwhile, Sutton and Carly go shopping for her wedding registry.
In episode three, "#IntoTheWild," Carly makes an effort to show Ben they can still enjoy the things they used to and takes Ben and his friends camping - with no cell phones. The lack of distraction leads to some honest conversations and painful revelations. Brook and Lathan argue over their different recollections of their childhood. And Sutton's fiancé, Kevin, comes to town to help with the wedding planning. Meanwhile, Carly gives Ben a driving lesson.
Episode Four Airing on Lifetime (Tuesday, June 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT)
In episode four, "#Heart2Heart," Lathan is excited about a new relationship and bonds with Carly. Ben is still struggling in school, and Carly tries to figure out why. Ben and Ayton decide to start a t-shirt design business. Meanwhile, Danielle helps her dad set up an online dating profile and tries to figure out what's happening in her relationship with Ben.
