Here is the latest project being picked up to series by the aforementioned network for the 2015-16 season (via press release):
NBC is ordering 13 episodes of "Coach" to star Craig T. Nelson. No air dates. No other casting right now. Multicam.
This is NOT a reboot but rather a sequel, picking up 18 years after the original series went off the air.
Coach Hayden Fox in the present day, retired from coaching. He is called back to become assistant coach to his own grown son, who is the new head coach at an Ivy league school in Pennsylvania that is just starting up a new team.
Barry Kemp, the original creator of "Coach," will write and EP. Craig will also EP.
Studio is Universal Television.
