ABC's Wednesday comedies celebrate all things lovey-dovey and funny with a night of episodes saluting Valentine's Day. Following are storylines for WEDNESDAY, FEB. 11:
"The Middle" -- "Valentine's Day VI" - Valentine's Day aims its sights on the Heck kids when a nervous Brick finds out that his quirky girlfriend Cindy wants him to kiss her on the special day, Darrin asks Frankie and Mike to help out with an exciting scavenger hunt he's putting together for Sue, and Axl begins to question his girlfriend Devin's request that he not give her anything for what she considers to be a lame tradition. "The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick. Guest starring are John Gammon as Darrin, Jen Ray as Nancy Donahue, Gia Mantegna as Devin Levin, Alphonso McAuley as Hutch, Casey Burke as Cindy and Tommy Bechtold as Kenny. (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET)
"The Goldbergs" --"Cowboy Country" - When Adam passes on a family ring to convey his feelings for Dana, Beverly can't seem to accept her little boy having such deep feelings at his age. Meanwhile, new couple Lainey and Barry convinces Murray to watch football with Lainey's dad. They soon realize the fathers root for opposing teams and Barry is left to decide between his love for the Eagles and his love for Lainey. "The Goldbergs" stars Wendi McLendon-Covey as Beverly Goldberg, Patton Oswalt as adult Adam Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile as Barry Goldberg, Hayley Orrantia as Erica Goldberg, with George Segal as Pops Solomon and Jeff Garlin as Murray Goldberg. "Modern Family" -- "Valentine's Day 4: Twisted Sister" - Valentine's Day is here again which means "Juliana" and "Clive" are back, however, things get worrisome when Claire starts sensing Phil may be more into Juliana than her! Elsewhere, Jay goes from feeling disappointed to scared when Gloria's visiting sister, Sonia (guest star Stephanie Beatriz), becomes a larger deterrence for a romantic evening with Gloria than he thought. And, Mitchell and Cameron get themselves in a very precarious situation with their good friend Anders (guest star Roger Bart). "Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sofia Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily. "black-ish" -- "Big Night, Big Fight" - Although Dre and Rainbow find they always end up quarreling on their annual Valentine's Day date, this time around, Dre is determined to do everything right and keep the peace. Meanwhile, Diane realizes she may not have received many Valentine's cards because she is too critical, so her siblings decide to teach her how to give a compliment.
