American Heroes Channel Presents Network Premiere of SCHINDLER'S LIST to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz (Sunday, January 25 at 8PM ET)

In honor of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, American Heroes Channel (AHC) presents the network premiere of the Academy award-winning film, SCHINDLER'S LIST on Sunday, January 25 at 8PM ET, without commercial interruption. Directed and produced by Steven Spielberg, SCHINDLER'S LIST tells the true story of Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi party, womanizer, and war profiteer who saved the lives of more than 1,100 Jews during the Holocaust. It is the triumph of one man who made a difference, and the drama of those who survived one of the darkest chapters in human history because of his actions.

The special presentation of SCHINDLER'S LIST is part of a partnership between Discovery Communications, Inc. and the University of Southern California's (USC) Shoah Foundation - The Institute for Visual History and Education, established by Spielberg. In addition to the network premiere of SCHINDLER'S LIST, Discovery Channel and American Heroes Channel will simulcast the special one-hour documentary ONE DAY IN AUSCHWITZ on Sunday, January 25 at 12 PM ET.

ONE DAY IN AUSCHWITZ follows the story of Polish-English Holocaust survivor Kitty Hart-Moxon and her return to Auschwitz-Birkenau. When she was only 16 years old, Hart-Moxon and her mother were sent to the German-Nazi concentration and extermination camp, miraculously she survived in the harshest conditions. Seventy years later she is joined by two students, Natalia and Lydia, as she makes an emotional journey back to her former prison to share her personal story of survival.

In addition to the simulcast in the U.S. on Discovery Channel and AHC, ONE DAY IN AUSCHWITZ will premiere internationally on Discovery Channel in over 220 countries. That same day, Spielberg's epic drama SCHINDLER'S LIST will air on Discovery Channel in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Africa as well as on AHC in the United States without commercial interruption.

"ONE DAY IN AUSCHWITZ shares a first-hand account of an important historical lesson, which is critical for us to preserve for future generations, as we lose more survivors and witnesses with each passing day. We are honored to share Kitty's story of inspiration, courage and hope, and proud to work with Steven Spielberg and his USC Shoah Foundation to broadcast these films to our global audience," said David Zaslav, President and Chief Executive Officer, Discovery Communications. Zaslav chairs the committee for Auschwitz: The Past is Present, a global communication and education program that will support official activities of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp on January 27, 2015.
