DISNEY XD SKETCHES SECOND SEASON ORDER FOR HIT COMEDY SERIES "KIRBY BUCKETS"

Disney XD has ordered a second season of its popular live action/animated series "Kirby Buckets." it was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production on the series will resume in Los Angeles this March.

In making the announcement, Bonnett said, "Thanks to the talented creative team behind this breakout series, we have a unique and defining new property for Disney XD that delivers on the original question that inspired the show: What were some of today's most popular and irreverent animators like as 13-year-old kids?" He added, "Audiences have developed a strong affinity for the series and the specific point of view told through the eyes of Kirby, who is played brilliantly by newcomer Jacob Bertrand."

A single-camera series, "Kirby Buckets" was created by Gabe Snyder & Mike Alber ("Supah Ninjas") and is executive produced by Kristofor Brown ("Beavis and Butt-head"). The series stars Jacob Bertrand ("Marvin Marvin," "Bubble Guppies") as Kirby Buckets, Mekai Curtis ("Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day") as Fish, Cade Sutton ("The Neighbors") as Eli, Olivia Stuck ("Good Luck Charlie") as Dawn, and Tiffany Espensen ("Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures") as Belinda.

During 2014, "Kirby Buckets" ranked among Disney XD's Top 5 series of the year across Boys 2-11 (250,000/1.2 rating), Boys 6-11 (217,000/1.6 rating) and Boys 6-14 (280,000/1.5 rating).

In season one, airing Monday nights on Disney XD, hilarious adventures ensue as Kirby, his two best buds, Fish and Eli, and his imaginative animated characters navigate the ups and downs of everyday high school life and their wacky town of Forest Hills while trying to stay off Kirby's sister, Dawn, and her best friend, Belinda's, radar.

"Kirby Buckets" is a production of Horizon Productions, Inc. with animation by Titmouse, Inc. and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
