(PASADENA, CA) - January 9, 2015 - One man's clunker is another man's treasure couldn't be truer for automotive aficionado and TOP GEAR co-host, Rutledge Wood and friend, and fellow car fanatic, George Flanigen. These two men are on a mission - rescue America's forgotten classic cars that are sitting in ruins in barns, garages and the backyards of the South and take HISTORY viewers along for the ride in the new six-episode series,LOST IN TRANSMISSION premiering spring 2015.
In each episode, Rutledge and George will rescue underappreciated examples of automotive styling that time has forgotten - from the obscure, one of a kind reclamation projects to classic American muscle cars - they will fix them up and get them back on the road. Rutledge is an expert at finding rare cars and George is a shrewd operator with an eye on the budget providing a much-needed counterbalance to Rutledge's passion. Their journey will take them off the beaten track, where they get lost in Southern flavors, meet eccentric characters and discover the heart of American car culture.
