The project, which has a penalty attached, is based on the 2013 GQ article "Oops, You Just Hired the Wrong Hitman" by Jeanne Marie Laskas. David Wolthoff and Larry Shuman will also executive produce alongside Vendetta Productions' Jennifer Klein and Shoe Money Productions' Julie DeJoie for Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)

Clifton Campbell ("The Glades") is penning the pilot script with Staple herself, Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper also executive producing for ABC Studios. (THR.com)
