ABC Announces November 2014 Sweeps Programming
The Alphabet details its programming highlights for the coming month (SPOILERS!).

ABC ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 2014 SWEEPS PROGRAMMING

The ABC Television Network announces highlights of its upcoming November sweeps programming, featuring "The 48th Annual CMA Awards," "The 2014 American Music Awards," "MARVEL: 75 Years, from Pulp To Pop!," a "Castle" wedding, and the explosive Fall Finales of all three #TGIT dramas: "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," and "How to Get Away with Murder," and the new special "Countdown to the CMA Awards: 15 Songs That Changed Country Music With Robin Roberts." Editors please note: What follows is a chronological listing of programming highlights (all times Eastern); this is not a complete list of all programs airing during the November sweep.

"THE VIEW" -- Dark deception, creative companionship, capitol style and epic tragedy are all in store for the co-hosts of ABC's "The View" as they celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 31. From frightening to fantastical, glamorous to ghoulish, the stage is set for a Halloween unlike any other. Guest who? An exciting list of guest co-hosts will join moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Rosie O'Donnell, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace throughout the month. Lisa Kudrow stops by and she isn't the only one making a comeback, former co-host Joy Behar makes her first guest appearance along with a stellar lineup of comedians, actors and entertainers. There will be a birthday bash for Whoopi, election coverage with GMA's George Stephanopoulos, and a "can't miss" performance that will make the audience go gaga. We will delve into the genealogy of the co-hosts and you will not believe what we found. From food to style to shopping, we will search coast to coast to find the "Best Stuff in America." "The View" airs MONDAY - FRIDAY (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., ET) on The ABC Television Network.

"THE CHEW" -- During the week of November 3-7, It's "Thanksgiving 101" when "The Chew" hosts a weeklong cooking school sharing all of the tips and essential tools needed to be a success in the kitchen this holiday season. November 10-14 is full of surprises with "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?," a weeklong series featuring surprise guests who will join co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz in the kitchen. "The Chew" will also feature the additional Thanksgiving-themed series "Thanksgiving on a Dime" November 11-17 and on Friday, November 21, "The Chew" celebrates Turkey Day with a Five Dollar Feast showing viewers how to create a delicious Thanksgiving Day meal for only $5 per person. Throughout the month of November, "The Chew" welcomes guests Dr. Oz ("The Dr. Oz Show"), Wendy Williams ("The Wendy Williams Show"), Niecy Nash, Brooke Shields, Kristen Chenowith, Ina Garten and Kevin McKidd (ABC's "Grey's Anatomy") as well as the stars of the laugh out loud sitcom "Hot in Cleveland." "The Chew" airs MONDAY - FRIDAY (1:00--2:00 p.m., ET) on The ABC Television Network.

"GENERAL HOSPITAL" -- Buckle up and get ready for addictive, can't miss episodes of "General Hospital," MONDAY-FRIDAY (3:00--4:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Dirty little lies always have a way of coming out and impacting the residents of Port Charles, and now multiple lives are at stake as everyone seems to want revenge. Franco and Carly plan to get married on October 31, but what tricks does Franco have up his sleeve? Nina begins to spiral out of control and sets her plan in motion to get Ava's baby. In the interim, someone gets shot. Anna and Duke's relationship is put to the test, while Elizabeth and Jake continue to grow closer. Seven time Daytime Emmy(R) winner Anthony Geary is back as Luke. Lastly, as another Thanksgiving approaches, could this be the year the Quartermaine's finally get a normal Thanksgiving meal? Don't count on it!

"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" - Jimmy Kimmel kicks off Sweeps with a special Halloween-themed episode that will feature the 9th Annual Half & Half Halloween Costume Pageant and the return of this year's Halloween Candy YouTube Challenge. "SCANDAL" -- "An Innocent Man" - Olivia is summoned by a convicted assassin who claims he was wrongly accused, while Mellie becomes intrigued by a former first lady whose stories seem to be strikingly similar to her own. Meanwhile, Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House and Fitz makes a shocking move, on "Scandal," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30 (9:00--10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Portia de Rossi and Brian Benben guest star.

"HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER" -- "Freakin' Whack-a-Mole" - A case gets personal for Annalise and the team when their client is a man from the projects who was sentenced to death by Asher's father several years ago. Meanwhile, Wes is still angry at Annalise for hiding information about Lila's case, so Annalise must convince him to get back in line. In flash-forwards, we find out exactly where Asher was on the night of the murder, on "How to Get Away with Murder," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"LAST MAN STANDING" -- "Mike Advises Mandy" - Mike offers Mandy advice on how to set aside money to pay the taxes on her struggling online clothing business. But she decides to do it her way - by opening up a pop up store at Bud's Buds, on "Last Man Standing," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 (8:00-8:31 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"CRISTELA" -- Gabriel Iglesias guest stars. "Hall-Oates-Ween" - It's Halloween and Cristela is eager to show Trent her "party-whispering" skills to make this year's party a success. After failing to convince Josh, Cristela gets Maddie to join her in dressing up as Hall & Oates. Meanwhile at home, Natalia's dislike for Halloween has her celebrating the Day of the Dead instead and, ironically, her stories of deceased relatives makes her the most popular Halloween attraction in the neighborhood, on "Cristela," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 (8:31-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"SHARK TANK" -- "Episode 609" - A man from Cumming, Georgia promotes unique exercise clothing that provides hyper-gravity weight training; a Spokane, Washington entrepreneur has a product to appeal to today's "urban beardsman" with beard oils, mustache waxes and a community for facial hair aficionados; two New Yorkers have a karaoke machine that adds jaw-dropping vocal harmonies to help users sound like their favorite stars; belts that are easy for kids to use from a St. Louis, Missouri woman; and a follow up story on Barbara Corcoran's deal from last season, Grace & Lace, hand-knitted socks and legwarmers, on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS" -- "Episode 2502" - This week's highlights include a little boy who is over the moon after his first kiss, a man doing cartwheels in the corridor of a hotel accidentally hits and breaks a ceiling sprinkler, parents secretly replace the stuffing in an Oreo with toothpaste to see their kids' reactions and a tribute to the World Cup AFV-style with a montage featuring soccer mishaps, on "America's Funniest Home Videos," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"ONCE UPON A TIME" -- "Family Business"- The race is on to track down the elusive Snow Queen, who was once a foster mother to a young Emma - whose memories of this event have been erased - in order to discover what her ultimate end game is for Elsa and the residents of Storybrooke, and unaware that she does not possess the real blade that controls The Dark One, Belle attempts to use it to get her reluctant husband to show her where the Snow Queen is hiding. "RESURRECTION" -- "Afflictions" - Bellamy, now desperately ill himself, turns to an unexpected source, his shadowy government contact (guest star Donna Murphy) for help and ends up with a shocking revelation about his past. And after another Returned disappears into thin air like Caleb Richards, the living look for answers. A newcomer to Arcadia (guest star Kyle Secor) makes Henry a tantalizing offer, on "Resurrection," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (9:00-10:01 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"SELFIE" - "Even Hell Has Two Bars" -- Eliza and Henry spend the weekend at the Saperstein's estate but with zero cell reception and a prospective promotion being dangled in front of them, both Henry and Eliza exhibit some questionable behavior, on "Selfie," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:02-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"SELFIE" -- "Never Block Cookies" - Eliza observes Henry's constant bad mood and lack of skills with women and becomes determined to get him some action, whether he wants it or not, on "Selfie," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"MARVEL: 75 YEARS, FROM PULP TO POP!" -- Hosted by Emily VanCamp (ABC's "Revenge") -- Experience an exciting journey through the 75 year history of the Marvel Universe, from its humble beginnings as Timely Comics in 1939 to the birth of The Marvel Age in the 1960s, and finally the cinematic blockbusters of today, in the original special, "MARVEL: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!," hosted by Emily VanCamp, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (9:02-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Sharks Kevin O'Leary, Robert Herjavec and Daymond John, along with the successful entrepreneurs behind jewelry line Stella Valle and energy drink Ruckpack, were invited speakers at a "Champions of Change" event, offering advice to veteran and active duty entrepreneurs. "REVENGE" -- "Ambush" - Daniel confronts Emily about the secrets she kept while things heat up between Margaux and Louise, on "Revenge," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"DANCING WITH THE STARS" -- "Episode 1909" - America's Choice Night, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"CASTLE" - "The Time of Our Lives" - A murder investigation launches Castle into what seems to be an alternate universe where he's never met Kate Beckett. Castle has to convince Beckett, Esposito and Ryan -- now complete strangers -- to let him participate in their investigation so he can find his way back to his own world. This inspires Castle & Beckett to finally take a trip to the altar, MONDAY NOVEMBER 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"SELFIE" - "Landline" -- When Eliza discovers that a distracted Henry wants to drastically reduce their mentoring sessions, she resolves to put an end to Henry's biggest distraction -- his new lady friend, Julia, on "Selfie," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." - "The Writing On The Wall" -- The team discovers murder victims with the alien glyphs on them that Coulson's been etching. All of Coulson's secrets and lies come to a head on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"FOREVER" -- "The Ecstasy of the Agony" - Henry and Jo discover there is a fine line between pleasure and pain when the death of a successful businessman and devoted husband points to a form of ritualized punishment. Henry learns it may be all a question of trust. The man's "domination therapist" comes under scrutiny as a murder suspect, who also wants to help Henry work through his own issues. Flashbacks reveal Henry's emotional story of betrayal after he shares his secret with his first wife, Nora. Meanwhile, Abe is flabbergasted when the object of his intense passion --Maureen Delacroix -- his two-time ex-wife, reappears with a tempting offer, on "Forever," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"THE MIDDLE" -- "The Sink Hole" - The Heck house once again throws a curve ball to the family when the kitchen sink caves in and drops out of sight, causing Frankie to have to wash the dishes with the outside hose. Meanwhile, Sue is informed that, since Wrestlerettes does not qualify for P.E. credit, she needs to master tinkling -- a difficult dance routine for a clumsy Sue -- to get the credit she needs to graduate; and after Brick accidentally breaks Mike's lawn mower, he takes Axl's advice to try and play the hero card by taking his dad's wallet then returning it later, thinking this will divert Mike's attention away from the busted mower, on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"THE GOLDBERGS" -- "Big Baby Ball" -- When Mr. Meller singles out Adam during a game of Dodgeball, Beverly intervenes to protect Adam and gets Meller fired. But soon Murray and Adam see him in a new light, so Beverly tries to get his job back... will she succeed? Meanwhile, Barry can't accept Erica is better than him in a new board game... "MODERN FAMILY" -- "Queer Eyes, Full Hearts" - Phil and Claire don't know if they should be happy or concerned that Haley and Andy are spending a lot of time together, however, they soon find things are not what they appear. Gloria is pushing Manny to learn Spanish instead of French so she hires a Spanish tutor Diego, who also happens to be very handsome, much to Manny and Jay's chagrin. Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam meet a popular news reporter at a school function and one of them piques her journalistic interest, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. "black-ish" -- "The Gift of Hunger"- After the kids turn their collective noses up at Dre's favorite cheap restaurant in his old 'hood,' he decides it's time to give them a reality check. He insists all of them get jobs. But when Andre Jr. and Zoey start working at his office, he can't help but interfere, and Jack and Diane's efforts to make some spare cash leave the neighbors thinking the family has fallen on hard times, much to Bow's embarrassment, on "black-ish," WEDNESDAY, 12 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"NASHVILLE" -- "I'm Coming Home To You" - Rayna's campaign to raise Highway 65's sales and profile finds her performing her latest single on "Dancing with the Stars." But when she agrees to be shadowed by a reporter all weekend for the cover of a magazine, just as Luke hopes to rekindle the romance, she realizes she may have pushed her public access too far. Juliette struggles to prepare for motherhood alone, and Will and Layla brace themselves for the premiere of their reality show on "Nashville," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network. "SCANDAL" -- "The Last Supper" - Fitz and Jake continue to fight over Olivia, but Olivia needs them to focus on the real prize, taking down Command.
