HGTV AND DIY NETWORK GREENLIGHT SEVEN NEW SERIES

NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - October 20, 2014] HGTV, which just ended one of its highest-rated quarters in network history among P25-54, has ordered: America's Most Desperate Kitchens; Log Cabin Living, Shalina Joy Project (w.t.) and Real Estate Riches (w.t.), while DIY Network scored one of its best-ever third quarters in network history on weekends and has ordered: First Time Flippers, Miami Rehab and The Treehouse Guys.

Popular network hosts and real-life cousins John Colaneri and Anthony Carrino star in HGTV's America's Most Desperate Kitchens (Big Table Media). In each episode, the cousins select one homeowner from hilariously desperate video submissions and surprise them with a stunning kitchen overhaul. In Log Cabin Living (Warm Springs Productions), the network follows couples as they ditch city living and search to find the quintessential country escape. In Shalina Joy Project (w.t.) (Departure Films), a New Jersey teacher, who previously flipped houses, takes on her biggest project yet - transforming a 19th century Victorian mansion into the home of her dreams. Real Estate Riches (w.t.) (Loud TV) features real estate investor Daniel Wiafe and his wife Melinda as they purchase dilapidated homes, renovate them from top-to-bottom and flip them for resale.

DIY Network follows The Treehouse Guys (Orion Multimedia) as they create extraordinary treetop structures in some of the most scenic locations in the country, including Oahu, Hawaii. DIY Network also welcomes two series that star renovation savvy experts. In Miami Rehab (Departure Films), the network presents Carolina Sullivan, a resourceful renovator with a keen eye for flipping houses, restoring properties and selling them for a profit; while in First Time Flippers (Boy Wonder Productions LLC), the home renovation process is shown from a beginner's perspective as novice flippers attempt to turn a disaster house into a high dollar flip.

"We're hyper-focused on developing and producing series that give viewers fresh perspectives on popular home themes," said Allison Page, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network. "Audiences will enjoy the voyeuristic experience that comes from our newer fantasy lifestyle series like Log Cabin Living and The Treehouse Guys, but they'll also find plenty of motivation to create their own perfect spaces when they watch renovation pros, like the Cousins, in action. And, in the next few months, we're adding two new faces -- Carolina Sullivan and Shalina Joy -- to our cadre of house-flipping and renovation experts, so there'll be even more inspiration for our fans."
