Critically acclaimed Thursday night comedy "Welcome to Sweden" has been renewed for a 10-episode second season. No premiere date has been determined.
The series was created by Greg Poehler, with events based on his real life.

Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times said, " 'Welcome to Sweden' is the best thing to happen to broadcast-network comedy since 'Modern Family.'"
"Welcome to Sweden" has averaged a 0.8 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall in "live plus same day" averages thus far from Nielsen Media Research.
The July 10 premiere of "Welcome to Sweden" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall, making it the second-highest rated summer comedy debut among seven on the Big 4 networks in the last five years (since ABC's "The Goode Family" in 2009), behind only NBC's "Undateable" over that span) in 18-49 and total viewers.
"Welcome to Sweden" is generating an upscale audience, indexing at 105 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).
