AQUARIUS (NBC; W: John McNamara; D: Jonas Pate) - Ambyr Childers and Beau Mirchoff are the latest to be cast in the upcoming drama, about the cat and mouse game between serial killer Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony) and the two cops tracking him, Sam Hodiak (David Duchovny) and Brian Shafe (Grey Damon), in 1960s Los Angeles. She'll play Susan Atkins, "who lures Emma's boyfriend away as part of Manson's plan to recruit her"; while he's set as Rick Zondervan, "a fictitious UCLA student who takes his girlfriend to a drug party in Laurel Canyon where they run into infamous Charles Manson." Chris Sheffield, David Meunier, Emma Dumont, Gaius Charles and Michaela McManus also star. (Deadline.com)
KEN JEONG MADE ME DO IT (A.K.A. UNTITLED ST CLAIR & O'TOOLE PROJECT) (MTV; W: Andy St. Clair & Paul O'Toole; D: TBA) - Ken Jeong ("Community") is set to star in the comedy pilot, about "22-year-old Andy, who, after catching his girlfriend cheating, accidentally rear-ends Jeong's fancy car; taking pity on Andy, Jeong takes it upon himself to teach him how to man up." Odenkirk Provissiero's Marc Provissiero serves as an executive producer in the project, with St. Clair and O'Toole as co-executive producers. Jeong, whose involvement won't interfere with his duties on "Community," and his manager, Brett Carducci, will also receive producing credits. (THR.com)
WESTWORLD (HBO/WBTV; W: Lisa Joy & Jonathan Nolan; D: Jonathan Nolan) - Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood are the first to be cast - while James Marsden is in talks to star - in the long-in-the-works drama pilot, a small screen take on Michael Crichton's 1973 sci-fi movie set at an amusement park. He'll play Dr. Robert Ford, "the brilliant, taciturn and complicated creative director, chief programmer and chairman of the board of Westworld who has an uncompromising creative vision for the park - and unorthodox methods of achieving it." Wood then is set as "the provincial, beautiful and kind Dolores Abernathy, the quintessential farm girl of the frontier West - who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie." Marsden's role wasn't specified. Bryan Burk, J.J. Abrams and Jerry Weintraub are also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
