STAMFORD, Conn. - July 21, 2014 - NBCSN presents a soccer doubleheader this Wednesday, July 23, beginning with Liverpool v. AS Roma in a "Football at Fenway" friendly at Fenway Park in Boston at 7 p.m. ET, immediately followed by the San Jose Earthquakes hosting the Chicago Fire at 10:30 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports Group's lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White calls the Liverpool-AS Roma match joined by former U.S. Men's National Team midfielder Kyle Martino, who will offer analysis from "between the benches." Rebecca Lowe will be live on the field at Fenway Park to host pre-game, halftime and post-game shows joined by former Jamaican national team player Robbie Earle and former English footballer Robbie Mustoe.
On Barclays Premier League "Championship Sunday" on May 11, Liverpool secured a second-place finish in the Premier League and their first UEFA Champions League berth since 2009-10 with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Newcastle at Anfield. AS Roma clinched second place in Serie A this season, also securing a Champions League berth. The two clubs last squared off on July 25, 2012 - also at Fenway Park -- before a sold out crowd of more than 37,000 fans.
Immediately following "Football at Fenway," the San Jose Earthquakes and U.S. Men's National Team forward Chris Wondolowski (6 goals) host the Chicago Fire, led by last year's MLS MVP Mike Magee (5 goals) along with veteran forward Quincy Amarikwa (6 goals) and a rising star in rookie Harry Shipp (6 goals).
NBC Sports Group's lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls San Jose vs Chicago joined by Bolton Wanderers (U.K.'s Football League Championship) midfielder Stuart Holden, who played for the U.S. in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and host Russ Thaler at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
