DIG (USA/UCP; W: Gideon Raff & Tim Kring; D: S.J. Clarkson) - Angela Bettis has scored a role on the limited series, about an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem (Jason Isaacs) who, while investigating a murder of a young female archeologist, uncovers a conspiracy 2000 years in the making. She's set as Faye, "another devout follower of evangelist Ted Billingham (David Costabile)." Anne Heche, Richard E. Grant, Omar Metwally, Regina Taylor and Lauren Ambrose also star. (Deadline.com)


POINT OF HONOR (Amazon, New!) - Writer Carlton Cuse ("Bates Motel") and director Randall Wallace (Secretariat) have set up a potential drama at the service about "a fictional family from Lynchburg, VA who find their lives and family fractured by the commencement of the Civil War." ABC Signature is on board to co-produce the project, which is finalizing a deal for a pilot order. Said effort was previously set up at ABC during the 2010-11 season but did not go to production. RED OAKS (Amazon; W: Greg Jacobs & Joe Gangemi; D: David Gordon Green) - Jennifer Grey is the latest to board the comedy pilot, set in the summer of 1985 and follows 20-year-old David Myers who takes a job as an assistant tennis pro at the predominantly Jewish Red Oaks country club in New Jersey and tries to figure out what kind of life he wants to lead. She's set as David's mother and Sam's (Richard Kind) wife. "She's relieved to see that her husband's heart attack wasn't fatal and she and Sam seem like a perfectly normal, reasonably content married couple despite her sexuality possibly being in question." Paul Reiser, Ennis Esmer and Gage Golightly also star. (Deadline.com)


SIGNAL (Cinemax, New!) - Filmmaker Ben Younger (Boiler Room) is developing a new drama at the pay channel about "a young man who launches a propaganda business in the Middle East and gets rich on the back of millions of dollars of US Government contracts." Electus' Ben Silverman and Sean Canino will also serve as executive producers on the project. (THR.com)


UNTITLED BEATLES PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Michael Hirst ("The Tudors") is spearheading a potential limited series at the Peacock about "the Beatles that would tell the story of the greatest band of all time." Fellow "Tudors" alums Ben Silverman and Teri Weinberg will likewise executive produce the project, full details of which weren't specified. (Deadline.com)
