Santa Monica, CA (June 3, 2014) - MTV invites fans to get up and dance to a music-filled weekend in celebration of global superstars Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran. To kick off the fun, the network will showcase fan-choreographed routines to Ariana's chart-topping song, "Problem," throughout airings of favorite dance flicks including "Stomp The Yard," beginning Saturday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT. On Sunday, ahead of MTV's forthcoming debut of its inaugural new music-documentary franchise, "Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran," the network will team up with the British singer-songwriter again as he unveils "100 Things About Ed Sheeran" throughout the day, beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT.
MTV will kick off the weekend with everyone's favorite dance movie "Honey" to set the mood for a day of movin' and groovin' with Ariana Grande. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT during "Stomp The Yard," MTV will air viewer-submitted videos showing off dance routines fans created to Ariana Grande's hot new song of the summer, "Problem." Audiences at home can vote for their favorite fan videos on Twitter using the hashtag #DancingwithAriana and see the results on-air throughout the day. The winner will receive the grand prize and see their video air on MTV.
Then on Sunday, MTV will turn the network over to Ed Sheeran to count down #100Things everyone needs to know about Ed. From 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, viewers will learn about his idea of a perfect woman, what it's like being a "Moroccan sunset," his most awkward moments, and more. If enough fans tweet with the hashtag #100Things, Ed might share one more thing about himself, *hint* he will be singing this fun fact. For a deeper look at Ed tune in to "Nine Days and Nights of Ed Sheeran" which premieres Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
