MUSIC MAN LIVE, THE (NBC, New!) - The Peacock has locked in Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" as the latest live production for the network, following last year's "The Sound of Music" and this fall's "Peter Pan." Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have reportedly been approached about shepherding the adaptation, due in 2015. Matthew Broderick and Kristin Chenoweth toplined the previous incarnation at ABC in 2003, also from Zadan and Meron. (Deadline.com)
MISSION CONTROL (NBC/Universal; W: David Hornsby; D: Don Scardino) - The new comedy's producers reportedly plan to recast the role of Bus in the project, which examines what happens when Mary (Krysten Ritter), a strong woman, butts heads with Tom (Tommy Dewey), a macho astronaut, in the race to land on the moon in 1962. Michael Rosenbaum originated the character in the pilot, a jock and high status idiot. Eric Nenninger, Jonathan Slavin, Julie Meyer, Leah Renee and Malcolm Barrett also star.

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Jane Krakowski has joined the cast of NBC's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" as "a rich Upper West Side mom (Ellie Kemper) who hires Kimmy as a nanny" where she'll succeed Megan Dodds from the original pilot (Deadline.com); Cory Michael Smith's Edward Nygma, Victoria Cartagena's Renee Montoya and Andrew Stewart-Jones's Crispus Allen have all been named regulars on FOX's upcoming drama "Gotham" after guest starring in the pilot (Deadline.com); and Bob Greenblatt has indicated the final season of "Parks & Recreation" will consist of 13 episodes, "a decision he made with showrunner Mike Schur and star Amy Poehler" (THR.com).
