New York, NY - April 9, 2014 - Cedric "The Entertainer" and Niecy Nash, stars of TV Land's "The Soul Man," are appearing in a new PSA for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R), which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Patience, a nine-year old patient at St. Jude since August 2013 battling Hodgkin Lymphoma, is featured in the PSA with Cedric and Niecy. One of Patience's lifelong dreams is to be a big star and perform on stage, and Cedric and Niecy helped give her a little taste of the limelight.
The PSA reminds the public that because of you, there is a St. Jude and no family ever pays St. Jude for anything. It was distributed to the hospital's television and radio partners, and is available in print and digital formats. It can also be viewed on "The Soul Man's" Facebook page and on .stjude.org/saving-all-kids.

The sitcom follows R&B superstar-turned-minister Reverend Boyce "The Voice" Ballentine (Cedric) after he relocated from Las Vegas to St. Louis with his wife Lolli (Niecy Nash). While learning to adjust to their new humble life, they have plenty of obstacles in their way. One of these is Boyce's brother Stamps (Wesley Jonathan), who seems to have taken up permanent residence in their house - and that's only made worse when Stamps sparks a new relationship with Lolli's sister (Kellee Stewart). Catch all-new episodes on Wednesdays at 10:30 PM ET/PT on TV Land.
