Top Teams Across Europe Battle In FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League
Los Angeles - FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, Europe's elite soccer competitions, return to FOX Sports with many of the year's biggest matches, featuring league leaders from England, Germany, Italy and Spain.
It all begins this weekend with a pair of exciting encounters in England's FA Cup competition featuring the top four teams in the Barclays Premier League. League-leading Chelsea takes on Manchester City on Saturday, Feb. 15 (12:00 PM ET) on FOX Sports 2, while Arsenal, coming off a 5-1 beating by Liverpool last weekend, clash again with the Reds in a highly anticipated rematch on Sunday, Feb. 16 (10:30 AM ET) on FOX Sports 2.
Just two days later, all eyes turn to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Manchester City, facing a quick turnaround, takes on La Liga leaders Barcelona and star forward Lionel Messi in a first leg matchup on Tuesday, Feb. 18 (2:00 PM ET) on FOX Sports 1. Arsenal confronts another difficult task against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, as last year's German champions and current Bundesliga leaders travel to London to meet the Gunners on Wednesday, Feb. 18 (2:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 2). The following week's action includes Manchester United against Greek side Olympiacos on Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Real Madrid vs. Schalke on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Both games begin at 2:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
The UEFA Europa League Round of 32 is highlighted by Italy's Serie A leaders Juventus against Turkish side Trabzonspor on Thursday, Feb. 20 (12:30 PM ET on FOX Soccer Plus). The return legs are set for Thursday, Feb. 27, including Napoli vs. Swansea City (12:30 PM ET) and Tottenham vs. Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (3:00 PM ET), live on FOX Sports 1.
Will Selva hosts this Saturday's FA Cup coverage with analysts Eric Wynalda and Warren Barton. Former Chelsea and Netherlands defender Mario Melchiot joins FOX Sports' coverage for Manchester City vs. Chelsea. Host Rob Stone returns to the panel with Wynalda and Barton to break down Sunday's FA Cup action. Sunday's pregame includes interviews with Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard, discussing the transitional year with new coach Roberto Martinez, and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, as he reflects on his club's successful season thus far. The pregame show also features exclusive coverage of the FA Cup sixth round draw as the matchups are revealed. The FOX Sports' lead soccer studio team continues with Brian McBride for UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League coverage beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 18, with the remaining matches set for the following week. Coverage kicks off at 2:00 PM ET on Tuesday and Wednesday for the UEFA Champions League and at 12:30 PM ET on both Thursdays for the UEFA Europa League.
