LINDSEY VONN JOINS NBC AS OLYMPIC CORRESPONDENT FOR 'TODAY' AND NBC SPORTS
Vonn Will Discuss Her New Role Tuesday, January 28 on NBC's TODAY
NEW YORK - January 27, 2014 - - Gold medal alpine skier Lindsey Vonn will join NBC as an Olympic Correspondent for the TODAY show and NBC Sports during the 2014 Winter Olympics. In her new role, Vonn will report daily from the U.S. for TODAY, and she will contribute to NBC Sports Olympic coverage. As the Games unfold, Vonn will share her unique perspective on the events and the competition from an Olympian's point of view.
In her first interview since deciding to withdraw from the Sochi Olympics, Vonn will appear on TODAY tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28 to discuss her role at NBC and give an update on her training and rehabilitation since her announcement. During the days leading up to the Opening Ceremony, Vonn will report live for TODAY from Studio 1A. She will cover how the athletes prepare physically and mentally for the Games, and she will share some of her favorite memories. After the official start of the Olympics, she will continue her reporting for TODAY and NBC Sports from the U.S.
