CMT GREENLIGHTS PRODUCTION ON SEVEN NEW SERIES INCLUDING THE COMPETITION-BASED "STEVE AUSTIN'S BROKEN SKULL RANCH"

"Dog And Beth: On The Hunt" and "Guntucky" Renewed for Second Seasons

CMT Schedules Newest Series "Party Down South" For Thursday Nights in January

LOS ANGELES - December 18, 2013 - CMT has greenlit production on seven, new unscripted series for 2014, the most the network has ever had in production at one time, it was announced today by Jayson Dinsmore, EVP, Programming and Development, CMT. The 2014 programming slate also includes a new Thursday night for CMT with the premiere of the previously-announced PARTY DOWN SOUTH, debuting January 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

"These new shows represent the most aggressive original programming CMT has ever offered," said Dinsmore. "We're purposefully broadening our originals to appeal to a wider audience through family-based comedies, outrageous humor, action-packed competition and unexpected dramas. We're out to prove that CMT has some serious attitude with a distinct point of view, and there's no better way to demonstrate this than with our surprising new series from the producers of 'Jersey Shore,' PARTY DOWN SOUTH in January."

The seven new series scheduled for production and premiere in 2014 include MY BIG REDNECK FAMILY from Pink Sneakers; TATTOO TITANS from Original Media; STEVE AUSTIN'S BROKEN SKULL RANCH from Cris Abrego Productions; DEATH VALLEY from Glassman Media; FNA USA from Juma Entertainment; TOBACCO WARS from Leftfield Pictures; and MY DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY from Shed Media.

Returning favorites DOG AND BETH: ON THE HUNT, from Electus, was the highest-rated CMT series this past year and has been renewed for 11, one-hour episodes; and GUNTUCKY, from Leftfield Pictures, has been renewed for eight, one-hour episodes. Both series are expected to run in second quarter 2014.

In 2013, CMT launched more original shows than ever before including such current series as ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS; a second season of SWAMP PAWN; a fourth season of SWEET HOME ALABAMA; and the previously-announced game show, WIN, LOSE OR PAWN, premiering this December.

Below are show programming descriptions and credits. All titles are working titles:
