MTV GRABS THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT BY THE HORNS WITH THE PREMIERE OF TWO BACK-TO-BACK EPISODES OF "BIG TIPS TEXAS" AT 10:00 PM ET/PT

"Big Tips Texas" Sneak Peek Episode Ranked as the #1 Original Cable Series in Timeslot (P12-34) On Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 PM ET/PT

SANTA MONICA, CA (October 7, 2013) - MTV's "Big Tips Texas," a new 14-episode, half-hour docu-series, follows the lives of a group of fun-loving girlfriends serving up southern hospitality at a popular Texas watering hole while hoping to make their dreams a reality. The 30-minute premiere episode, which aired as a sneak peek on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT following "Miley: The Movement," delivered 1.0 million total viewers, ranking as the #1 original cable series in its timeslot (P12-34) and the #1 program in its timeslot with women 12-34.* "Big Tips Texas" officially kicks off on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.

The eclectic group of women on "Big Tips Texas" includes four veterans and six new girls. Sabrina, a gifted student working to save money to go back to college and eventually Harvard Law School; Amber the girl who knows her way around the bar but comes at odds with the other staff; Typhani, the boss; and Claire, the bar's top bartender, are amongst those who have earned their stripes. The newbies include Kristyn, an ambitious waitress who has dreams of climbing the establishment's corporate ladder and starting her own clothing line; Morgan, a rodeo princess; Mimi, one of the new girls who ruffles a few feathers; Jillian, the Chicago transplant; Macy, the biggest little Texan of them all; and Mercedez, known as the sassy southern server. United by the bonds of sisterhood, these women's lives are loaded with tons of comedy, drama and heart. They fight, make up and love like sisters all while working their way towards adulthood one crazy shift at a time. Giddy up!

In the "Big Tips Texas" primetime premiere episode airing this Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, viewers will meet the women who work at the wildest bar in Texas. New girl, Morgan pursues her dream of barrel racing but at work comes at odds with veteran, Amber. Later on, their animosity quickly escalates into an all-out brawl. In the all-new episode immediately following the premiere, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Amber and Morgan's fight causes serious drama in the workplace. Meanwhile, new girl Kristyn sets her sights on climbing the corporate ladder but jeopardizes her chances when she backstabs her boss, Typhani.
