STARTING A "REVOLUTION" AT THE UNITED NATIONS
Warner Bros. Television, NBC, the United Nations and Good Robot - the philanthropic arm of Revolution executive producer J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions - teamed up for "Revolution: The Power of Entertainment," a season two premiere screening, party and panel discussion at UN Headquarters in New York City last night, Tuesday, September 17.
Premiering September 25 and airing on a new day and time of Wednesdays 8/7c on NBC in season two, Revolution depicts a family struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic American landscape devoid of electrical power.
Revolution creator/executive producer Eric Kripke joined series stars Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito and UN experts for a conversation moderated by actor/producer/director Fisher Stevens aimed at bringing attention to the UN's Sustainable Energy for All initiative - the goal of which is to bring attention to the challenges faced by real people around the world who live without access to energy and help develop possible solutions. Nearly 1.3 billion people across the globe do not have access to electricity (95% of whom live in Sub Saharan Africa or developing Asia).
