NEW YORK - September 5, 2013 - Oxygen Media is ramping up for the highly anticipated premiere of its authentic new docu-series "Preachers of L.A." by hosting a GOOGLE+ Hangout on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 PM ET on Oxygen.com and Google+. Moderated by Oxygen's recently announced on-air personality, Susie Castillo, the GOOGLE+ Hangout will engage a global audience in a live conversation with the series' stars, including Minister Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Ron Gibson and Pastor Wayne Chaney. Fans can RSVP for the Hangout here.
Oxygen Media goes behind the pulpit in the new docu-series, "Preachers of L.A." premiering on Wednesday, October 9 at 10 PM ET/PT. The series gives viewers a candid and revealing look at six boldly different, world-renowned mega-pastors in Southern California - Bishop Noel Jones, Minister Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Jay Haizlip, Pastor Wayne Chaney and Bishop Ron Gibson. These men of God will share diverse aspects of their dynamic lives, from their work in the community and with their parishioners to the very large and captivating lives they lead away from the pulpit. While "Preachers of L.A." documents these pastors' lifestyles, the series also focuses on the daily struggles and triumphs they face as men, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends. Viewers will also get to know the strong women who stand behind these church leaders, and often work just as hard to balance their lives in the spotlight with their commitment to family.
The Google+ Hangout is consistent with the network's 2013 digital strategy, which emphasizes interactivity and original, customized content. Oxygen continues to be digital trendsetter and a leading force in engaging modern young women, wherever they are, with popular, award winning features on all platforms. In April, Oxygen also began integrating animated GIFs from popular social blogging platform Tumblr into the original programming schedule with tattoo competition series "Best Ink." The network hosts live GIF parties on Tumblr to accompany original programming including "The Face," "Best Ink," and "BGC." Earlier this year, Oxygen launched the first-ever live Google + Hangout during a reality broadcast with "The Face."
