THE AFTER (Amazon; W/D: Chris Carter) - The drama, which takes place at the moment of apocalypse, has been ordered to pilot by Amazon Studios. Georgeville Television is producing. (Deadline.com)

LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE (CBS, New!) - The Eye is looking to revive the 1969-1974 ABC series, which featured unrelated stories of romance, usually with a comedic spin. Jana Sinyor ("Being Erica") and Aaron Martin ("The Best Years") are spearheading the adaptation, which - in lieu of an anthology format - will follow "the lives of four couples who are connected through the many stages of love and their complicated relationships." CBS Television Studios is behind the half-hour with the Tannenbaum Company's Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum and Madhouse Entertainment's Robyn Meisinger and Adam Kolbrenner executive producing alongside said duo. ABC previously took a stab at a revival in 1999 featuring Melissa Joan Hart among others. (Deadline.com)

PENNY DREADFUL (Showtime; W: John Logan; D: Juan Antonio Bayona) - Reeve Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) has been cast in the upcoming drama, in which some of literature's most famously terrifying characters - including Dr. Frankenstein and his creature, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula - become embroiled in Victorian London. He'll play the aforementioned Dorian Gray, "a reprisal of Oscar Wilde's supernaturally attractive and decadent young hero." Eva Green, Josh Hartnett and Timothy Dalton also star. (THR.com)

PUNCHING OUT (CBS, New!) - John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses) have snagged a put pilot commitment for a new single-camera comedy about "thirtysomething guys who hate their jobs and make a pact to go back to when they were happiest - working at the mall." Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope also serve as executive producers on the half-hour, which is set up at their 20th Century Fox Television-based Chernin Entertainment. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED ADAM LEVINE/GENE HONG PROJECT (NBC, New!) - "The Voice" coach Adam Levine and writer/producer Gene Hong ("Community") are set to team for a single-camera comedy based on their friendship, which began long before they found success. Hong will pen the half-hour for Universal Television with Levine and manager Jordan Feldstein of 222 Productions also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED JAY BARUCHEL/JESSE CHABOT PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Actor Jay Baruchel has sold a semi-autobiographical comedy to the Alphabet about "a successful actor who eschews the fame and superficiality of Hollywood to move back home to Burlington, VT where he buys a house down the street from his mom and invites his two best friends from childhood to move in with him." Baruchel, who is not attached to star, will co-write the half-hour alongside Jesse Chabot with Tagline Television's Willie Mercer and Marc Hamou likewise serving as executive producers for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Lynda Carter will drop by "Two and a Half Men" as a version of herself (EW.com); Sutton Foster, Billy Zabka, Bruce Campbell, Dean Cameron, Phylicia Rashad, Kurt Fuller, Curt Smith and Brie and Nikki Bella are all bound for the "A Nightmare on State Street" episode of "Psych" (TVLine.com); FX has greenlit "Anarchy Afterword," a post-episode online talk show hosted by Chris Franjola for the new season of "Sons of Anarchy" (THR.com); and Dr. Luke will not be joining "American Idol" as a judge on season 13 (THR.com).
