FALLING INTO PLACE (FOX, New!) - Andy Gordon ("Last Man Standing") has sold a multi-camera comedy to the network about "five college friends who, four or five years out of college, each experiences a loss and tries to overcome it." Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
KIRBY BUCKETS (Disney XD; W: Gabe Snyder & Mike Alber; D: David Bowers) - Jacob Bertrand ("Marvin Marvin") has been tapped for the lead role on the comedy pilot, about "a 13-year-old who dreams of being the biggest animator in the world, enters a competition that allows him to meet his idol Mac MacCallister and potentially get one of his own animated characters on Mac's hit show." Gabe Snyder and Mike Alber are behind the half-hour with David Bowers directing. In addition, Kris Brown has joined the project as an executive producer since it was announced last year as "Kirby Gates." (Deadline.com)
LINE OF SIGHT (AMC/AMC Studios/FTS; W: Blake Masters; D: Jonathan Demme) - Lisa Gay Hamilton ("The Practice") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, about Lewis Bernt, a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident's cause. She will play Ruby Jensen, "an NTSB rep sent to investigate the crash." Sarah Clarke also stars as Lewis's wife Dot. (Deadline.com)
NECKPEE ISLAND (Disney XD, New!) - Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhardt ("Even Stevens") has snagged a pilot order for a new comedy about OB (Jacob Bertrand), "a 14-year-old troublemaker. To keep him out of trouble, his dad moves the family to the small, remote island of Neckpee where OB joins the Neckpee High Flag Corps. OB immediately becomes suspicious of Kirk Khool, the Flag Corps' coach, and when he proves that Kirk Khool's actually created an army of mutant, human-sized raccoon soldiers, he reaches out to his corp-mates for help to take them down." No other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
REALITY BITES (NBC, New!) - Ben Stiller is bringing his 1994 feature - about "recent college graduate Lelaina Pierce (Winona Ryder) as she struggles to make her way - romantically and professionally - in the recession-plagued, pre-Internet early 1990s" - to the small screen as a single-camera comedy. Screenwriter Helen Childress will pen the updated take, which is set up at Universal Television with Red Hour Television's Stiller, Debbie Liebling and Stuart Cornfeld; and Double Feature Films' Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher also among the executive producers. TWANG (Nickelodeon, New!) - Andy Gordon ("True Jackson, VP") has booked a country-themed multi-camera comedy at the cable channel about "four semi-spoiled children of a country music star who are relocated from their privileged life in Los Angeles to their mother's childhood home in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee."
