THE AFTER (Amazon, New!) - "The X-Files" creator Chris Carter is set to write and direct a potential drama for the digital distributor "set at the moment of apocalypse." Georgeville Television is also on board to produce the hour, additional details of which weren't released. (Deadline.com)


FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC (Lifetime; W: Kayla Alpert; D: Deborah Chow) - Kiernan Shipka and Mason Dye have been cast in the network's small screen take on V.C. Andrews's novel, which "weaves the gothic tale of four young siblings, two boys and two girls, who, after the tragic death of their father, are subjected to cruel emotional and physical abuse resulting from a dark, long-hidden family secret." They'll play the oldest boy and girl, respectively, in the project, which also stars Ellen Burstyn and Heather Graham. (Deadline.com)


KOOLHAUS (Amazon, New!) - David Brendel and Tim Nye have sold a presumed drama to the digital house "which centers on a duo of art dealers who double as CIA agents." Cineflix is understood to be producing the project, full details of which weren't given. (Deadline.com)


LIMELIGHT (ABC, New!) - Playwright Kelly Masterson (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead) has set up at new drama at the Alphabet which "chronicles a murder trial that becomes a national media obsession, thrusting the lives of the accused, the prosecution, the defense, and everyone in between into the public spotlight." Prospect Park's Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry are also executive producing the hour, which has a penalty attached, for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)


MOZART IN THE JUNGLE (Amazon, New!) - Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Alex Timbers have set up a presumed comedy at the distributor "which explores New York City's classical music scene." Michael Zakin is also attached to produce. (Deadline.com)


THE OUTLAWS (Amazon, New!) - Jeremy Garelick and Jon Weinbach have sold a new comedy to the digital service "which focuses on an NFL team whose owner suddenly dies, leaving his wife and his assistant in charge." Ice Cube, Matt Alvarez, Kevin Iwashina, Ross Dinerstein, Michael Strahan and Constance Schwartz will also executive produce the half-hour, which is locking in a director. (Deadline.com)


SPARKS (NBC, New!) - Gwyn Lurie and Gary Marks (The Music Never Stopped) have sold a potential drama to the Peacock based on the case files and life of renowned neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks. Glenn Gordon Caron ("Medium") and Michael London (Milk) are also on board to executive produce the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour, which has a penalty attached. Sacks's 1973 book "Awakenings" was adapted into the Oscar-nominated film of the same name starring Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED DANIELLE SANCHEZ-WITZEL PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Danielle Sanchez-Witzel ("Whitney") has landed a script order from the Alphabet for a multi-camera comedy about "when a young woman's life unravels, her younger sister takes her in, hoping to have a front-row seat to her perfect sister's downfall." Said effort is set up at CBS Television Studios. (THR.com)


UNTITLED MIKE ARNOLD PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Mike Arnold ("Archer") has booked a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet which "centers on a gifted but dysfunctional big-city female attorney who moves to a small town and is faced with the difficult task of adjusting." Universal Television is behind the half-hour with The Pacific Electric Picture Company's Ed Helms and Mike Falbo also attached to executive produce. (THR.com)
