12 More of the Top 60 Acts Perform This Week to Compete for the $1 Million Prize
NEW YORK - August 2, 2013 - Global chart-topping star Jason Derulo will perform his hit single "The Other Side" on NBC's "America's Got Talent" results show, Wednesday, August 7 (9-10 pm ET).
Since bursting on the scene in 2009, Derulo has sold over 25 million tracks worldwide (15 million domestically) with almost 10 billion in cumulative radio audience, and nearly 700 million views on his YouTube channel. With a string of Top 10 singles - "Watcha Say," "In My Head," "Ridin' Solo," "Don't Wanna Go Home" and "It Girl" - he was named Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Pop Awards in 2011, and has been nominated at the Teen Choice Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, MOBO Awards and others.
"The Other Side," Derulo's fourth Top 5 record, was produced by Ammo (Katy Perry, Ke$ha) and Martin Johnson (Taylor Swift, Hot Chelle Rae, Hannah Montana, The Used). It became the #1 most added record on the Top 40 charts in 2013 with over 120 adds across the country in its first week, just 25 stations short of the all-time record set by former touring mate Lady Gaga. His third, untitled album hits stores this fall.
"America's Got Talent" continues the quarter-final rounds on Tuesday, August 6 (9-11 pm ET), where twelve more of the Top 60 acts perform for America's vote. Four of those acts will move on to the semifinals to compete against Anna Christine, Angela Hoover, Branden James, Collins Key, Forte, Innovative Force, the KriStef Brothers and Marty Brown.
