2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Televised on ESPN2
ESPN Analyst Cris Carter and Longtime Contributor Bill Parcells Among Inductees
ESPN2 will televise the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony this Saturday, Aug. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. NFL Live host Trey Wingo, NFL analyst Tom Jackson and reporter Sal Paolantonio will cover the event in Canton, Ohio. Sunday NFL Countdown host Chris Berman will again serve as emcee.
Additionally, fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider will have live access to ESPN2's coverage via WatchESPN on computers, smartphones, tablets, Xbox and Apple TV.
Among the inductees are ESPN NFL analyst Cris Carter, an eight-time Pro Bowler and former wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, and longtime ESPN NFL contributor Bill Parcells, who won the Super Bowl twice as the New York Giants head coach. The 2013 class also includes Larry Allen, Curley Culp, Jonathan Ogden, Dave Robinson and Warren Sapp.
Beyond the telecast, ESPN.com will provide coverage leading up to and surrounding the induction ceremony, with contributions from ESPN Boston, ESPN Dallas, and ESPN New York. Highlights:
· Individual columns on each of the 2013 inductees will be posted throughout the week;
· AFC East blogger James Walker will be on site in Canton where he will write for NFL Nation blogs and take part in a Scribble chat with ESPN Dallas; and
· Todd Archer and Jean-Jacques Taylor of ESPN Dallas will participate in a live blog during Allen's and Parcells' induction speeches.
